NERF THE WINGMAN/PEACEKEEPER
Honestly, every fight early game or even in the late game, any time you get into a gun fight, and you don't have either one of these guns, you're very unlikely to win the battle. Nerf the peacekeeper...
MechaDraco made the most sense. Most of you on this post seem to be complaining to complain like most people love to do with video games nowadays. What I am saying is this game is one of the most balanced and fun games that has been released in a long time. Anyone can literally hop on this game and be good and have fun. Why must you complain about weapons that do the ultimate job that needs to be done, which is eliminate your opponent? I can understand making these weapons less common, so that the reward of finding them is in your favor, but why b**** and moan because the guns wreck, when you can use it your damn self? Weapon dmg is not at all a major issue with this game unless you are discussing dmg, or the lack their of, with the Mozambique or P2020. My peeve is about complaints that are made by people that are just looking for something to complain about.
The true issue with the game are bugs, crashing, minor UI issues. Its not hard to kill people in this game with guns other than the Wingman and Peacekeeper. I have no problem running with R-301, R-99 (yes they need an extendo) G7 Hemlok etc.. I feel like a majority of people dont want to put in the work to figure out how to combat their own weakness, so they immediately jump to the conclusion that "(Insert Weapon) is OP". At the end of the day it will likely get nerfed because too many people have complained about it, so no need to get your panties in a bunch because you will ultimately get your way like the spoiled princesses you are.
End rant.
Kiss Kiss
P.S. Real gamers figure out the game and adapt. They don't cry about the parts of the game that work well. *Shrug*
Could you be anymore self-righteous?
People can complain about weapon balance and design decisions, regardless of it is to good or to bad.
You're focusing on fixing the really bad *. Which I'll agree fixing bugs and crashes is far more important than weapon balance, but within the context of this thread weapon balance is the point of discussion NOT fixing crashes, the UI, and the only relevant bugs are the ones that affect weapon balance (Peacekeeper fast fire, Fast weapon switch, etc).
That doesn't mean the devs shouldn't fix the things that ARE to good. "Real Gamers" want to have a game where all weapons are viable when used in a certain way. The wingman has the problem of being the best or at worst 3rd best option for every relevant problem. That is just as bad of a game design as having a weapon that's the worst or 2nd worst option for basically every situation in the game Mozambique&P2020.
It's also not good game design to have a shotgun that it doesn't matter if you're crouched, sprinting, jumping or all 3 and you still have the same accuracy and spread that's capable of doing ~100dmg at ~25-35m without a precision choke or ~100dmg at ~50-60m with a precision choke at max precision (damage and range depends on how well placed the shot is and what legend you're shooting RIP Gibraltar). I doubt anyone is surprised a shotgun is really good at close quarters, I think people are surprised that the shotgun is still good at ranges that shotguns are normally outdone by SMGs and ARs in other games while also maintaining mobility when every other non shotgun has less precision and accuracy while moving/not using ADS (side note Mastiff and Mozambique have larger spread outside of ADS).
All weapons in the game are viable,. Some are just better than others. One person brought up the issue with sheilds, just as I did. Maybe it's not the gun's dmg output as much as it is the Sheilds/Clip size of certain weapons. Hence Peacekeeper and Wingman should be left alone IMO.
I was being self righteous towards the herb that made that "Real gamers" comment in the first place, however, I'm not sorry if you were offended.@Comanglia-ttv
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just happen to think your opinion is wrong.

Look the game hasn’t been out long and streamers of all people are avoiding wingman because of its OPness and how boring it gets winning or losing because of it.
if streamers are borderline on strije because it’s dumb that should tell you something.
Btw kingrichard still spans both because he is overrated.
A majority of people on this post have said they are "bored" or "tired" of getting kills/winning. That is a hilarious statement within itself. Some have also said they can't win WITHOUT one of these two, if not both, weapons in their loadout. If you cant win without these weapons then you and the people that you are playing with are subpar. Sorry, that's just the bitter truth. This game can be unfortunate, and you sometimes land and get dookie loot (No shields, or P2020/Mozam), and those are the times, more often than not, that you usually die to a peacekeeper or wingman. I've never seen an issue with the Peacekeeper (besides the rate of fire glitch). There have been times where I've shredded someone, or so I thought, and had to put at least another 3-4 shots into them. The wingman does do damage, but I dont find it had to evade a persons crosshairs...idk maybe it's just me. Nonetheless there will be unnecessary changes to these weapons I'm sure, and when that happens I'm sure the same people complaining about these weapons will find something else that is "OP" to complain about.
I feel strongly that some of these imbalances work themselves out in other areas or situations within the game. Legends and the proper use of their abilities can easily get you out of harms way, or at the least give you a better vantage to win the fight. The whole point of my rebuttal is to say that these weapons are at the bottom of the totem of things that need to be tweaked, and I feel like they dont even have to be touched honestly. If everyone feels so strongly about these weapons being OP why not buff a majority of the weapons that are Under Powered?
This is besides the point because time change and technology makes things better, but there used to be a time where video games were released and that was that. You had to either adapt, play through the frustrations, or find another game that also has its own issues. Just play, have fun (winning is fun), and complain less.
@BetOnBoogie If there's guns that are objectively better in what the other gun is supposed to be good at, while also being good at what the other gun is bad at, that makes the worse gun not viable.
E.g. Wingman vs. Mozambique. In which situation is the Mozambique viable if you could use the wingman instead? Same bodyshot damage, Wingman does far more headshot damage, has double the magazine size, far better range, can extend the magazine even further, has better DPS even with the stock magazine, reloads faster... It's literally better in every conceivable way. That's the definition of "not viable". If there's no situation in which you would choose to use this weapon over the alternative.
Viable Guns (that are not the Peacekeeper/Wingman):
- Spitfire
- R-99
- R-301
- Hemlock
- Alternator
- Triple Take
- Havoc/Devotion
Yes some may need attachments, but that is PART OF THE GAME. Those guns can easily kill someone with no attachments and then you can loot their bodies or the surrounding area to find what you need. My point is simple and most will disagree, but if you really have that much trouble against these weapons (Peacekeeper/Wingman) I personally think you are just a bad player, that can't figure out a way to outplay your opponents using these weapons.
That's the point... if there's a gun that no one in their right mind would ever use if not for necessity, it's not viable. You said all weapons are viable. Hell, you could say it's so bad you're better off trying to punch people to death. I do that occasionally against people who got a gun that's not good before I got anything and win and I'm not particularly good at the game.
I excluded the Mozambique and P2020 from being viable guns...that's a given. My issue is complainin about guns that actually do their job. Such as the Wingman and Peacekeeper......
I agree that the other guns can all be used and are viable choices.
However, I do think that the Peacekeeper and Wingman tend to be the strongest "out of the box", meaning even if you don't get any attachments they're still amazingly strong. "That's the game", yeah, yeah I know, it has lots of RNG and that's okay, but even with RNG shouldn't the strongest guns be somewhat rare? There's the two legendary weapons after all. And I've seen people arguing that Wingman/Peacekeeper are still better than those.
I can totally agree with making these guns less common, as I said in one of my previous posts, but nerfing the damage is unnecessary to me. They do great the way they are in this game. Shields can be ridiculous to penetrate in this game and those two guns do a great job of doing just that. I also think that with how fast paced this game is Shields need to be high in order to increase survival. I think the Mastiff is better than the Peacekeeper, but has a high skill gap. You need to be more accurate and selective of your shots. Ultimately, some guns can be much better by simply increasing their stock clip size (R-99/R-301). I feel people are making these two guns out to be more imbalance than they actually are.
