New Feature Suggestion: Legend Mods

I was thinking about the current state of the game, and possible ways to spice things up on a core gameplay level today. The main interface we have is through our legends, and they play the same way every game.

The primary incentives for winning are based around cosmetic rewards and ranked experience. While this in itself is a pleasant experience, I believe there's an entirely untapped element to be explored. 

What if putting significant time into a single legend actually had rewards for the player outside of "X kills, X damage done, X wins" being displayed before a match?

Enter my idea.. Legend modifications. Unique rewards for each legend that are only unlockable through legend play time, legend performance, or unique legend based challenges with a relatively steep skill floor. None of these would be purchasable and would represent a badge of honor for the player.

My first tier of ideas for Legend Mods would be based around minor ability tweaks. For example;

Wattson - Tier One Mod

Overcharge: Wattson now only carries two fence charges at a time, but her fences deal double damage to enemies. 

Mirage - Tier One Mod

Bam.. Bam.. What?: Mirages tactical clone ability now has three charges, but the clones vanish much more quickly after being sent out.

These are just a few tiny examples of what I believe could be a MASSIVE reward incentive for aspiring legend mains. Ability modifications, Unique ability color tweaks, and much much more. 

Please give me some feedback, as I would love to help get something like this into the game.
