It really determines what one considers "Toxic" behavior as Apex Legends to me is far from this. Someone wants some toxic gaming, go play LOL and/ or DOTA 2 for the first time. Apex Legends is a Disney movie compared to those games.
Sure, people can get pushy, straight forward and/ or annoying, but it's kind of in BRs nature to be that, as most competitive titles are. It's everyone's fault and no one's fault at the same time.
It boils down to the player's choice. Everyone has one, they don't always match up.
If someone just wants to always be in the action, but gets connected to one that doesn't and another that is new, it creates an environment for very different interactions.
The main issue is the matchmaking creating this environment, and not directly the players.
I also don't think there is such a thing as a casual player, but more like causal gameplay. People play differently all the time.
So in theory, if a game mode existed that was for casuals, how would one determine what causal is? Isn't that just lower ranked levels to be fair? Also, I think it's good for players that play causality to be in close contact with good players so that they can observe each other and learn new things.
I do think Apex Legends needs a better way for people to get good with certain weapons and/ or abilities though. It's been lacking for some time. I personally think that Arenas should be removed (as it teaches the players nothing of BR) and replace it with control.
