Hello, I have an idea for the legend "Crypto". I felt that his playstyle restricted the choice between the drone and the character, so I came up with an idea that can change his playstyle and add some usefulness to banners.My idea is, if your teammates die and you have their banner, you can attach their banner to the drone, but only one at a time. If you attach the banner, when Crypto uses his tactical ability, the attached banner's owner will control the drone instead of Crypto while they're dead! If the drone is destroyed while the banner is attached to it, the banner is lost, and you have to retrieve it/copy it again from the deathbox/crafters. This change can boost his pick rate. Also, maybe you can add a perk like short-term damage immunity that can only be used by the banner owner attached to the drone.That's the idea I came up with. I really hope the dev team likes the idea and implements it into the game.

@MonocresS Eh. I think that letting the dead control the drone could be fun, but it conflicts with the main way I use him.I use the drone for the respawn. Instant beacon use instead of 5-8 seconds.I've also stolen a few beacons when someone was in the middle of respawning their own team.Also, losing the banner when allowing them that way? No thanks. It's already hard enough to get the banners in the first place. Plus, he can't craft them without having a support class on the team! I've played a few matches where was had no support. That was hard. Drone died many times trying to get banners.

Thanks for sharing your opinion! Actually, you don't have to put any banners on the drone; you can still use it as it is. My idea is just an addition that could boost Crypto's pick rate and also save Crypto from having to choose between the drone or his character. Also, EMP is still only usable with Crypto, so you have to communicate with your team to use it correctly. The point of losing the banner is a risk/reward mechanism; I thought it would be too overpowered in the late game without a downside, which is why I added this. In the end, it's just an idea, and if it's not too overpowered for the dev team, I'm totally okay with it without a downside.

@MonocresSI would never use it if it cost me the banners.If they can fly the drone to respawn themselves while I hide and stay in drone range trying my best not to get noticed, then I'd use it.Another thing: drone has 50 hitpoints. It I summon the drone and let them use it at that price and it instantly gets shot, as usual, then what is the point of that price?No. Losing their banner is too high a price.You need something else.Besides, I even made a Support Idea that was based off Shadow Royale.A legend who could revive allies who are recently deathboxed and summon allies as shadows, possibly even their spectators.Their tactical would be for summoning shadow prowlers.They would have permanent shadow slots equal to dead or abandon mate team mates. These would prioritize allied shadows. Then spectator shadows. Then Prowlers. You could reprioritize if you want to, such as if you don't want spectators being your shadows just put the prowlers above them and summon enough.This way you would always be a full, though weakened, squad.Why weakened? Shadows are limited to melee and have 100HP, no shields, and cannot heal, but they can respawn repeatedly if they are a allied shadow. Prowlers must be resummoned. Spectator shadows may need resummoning as well.Ultimate would fill your empty slots and grant two temporary prowlers on top of that.Possibly even give you banner cards for the spectators if you have open slots, such as if team mates abandoned you. You could then fill empty squadmate slots with those who were spectating you, giving you a better chance at high ranks or championship.It would also incentivise not immediately quitting, in case you could join this legend if someone abandoned them.Know what I mean?It's not any more broken than a squad missing a person. Shadows are weak, this just allows you to have a better chance at bringing your team back if they didn't abandon you, or better chance at survival if you are abandoned.Yes, I have been utterly abandoned numerous times. I'm tired of it.

@MonocresSLetting teammates control the drone sounds like a fun idea, but being only when they're dead doesn't, (especially when a banner can be lost when the drone is destroyed). Instead, it would be nice to let teammates control the drone while they are still alive. As long as Crypto isn't using the drone, they can use the drone like how they would use a Void Nexus.This should also be extended to where the player controlling the drone has the same drone interface that Crypto has when he uses a drone, (the green holo screen), so others can tell if someone is in the drone just by looking at them. It would also make sense for the drone to still be limited to a certain distance from Crypto, but also the player flying the drone is limited to a certain distance of Crypto as well. Cryptto would work like a relay in this case. If you're too far from either Crypto or the drone, it won't work. (This is so a player can't just sit in a building 300+ meters away while the other two run around with the 3rd on the drone).Other ideas players have came up with is having the drone follow Crypto around and auto scan as well as the ability to revive teammates with the drone, (either by flying the drone up to a teammate, or sending the drone off to revive). It would also be great if his drone can do other things like activate EVO Harvesters and maybe even grab an item out of a deathbox or to simply carry an item in general. It would be interesting to see players grab an item like an extended mag to bring to their teammate who needed it, rather than Crypto carrying it in their inventory.The only thing about the drone being able to act on its own, (and being able to revive), is that a knocked Crypto could have his drone revive him if its still deployed. So, in cases where a Crypto is knocked, his teammates could maybe use the drone to revive. However, I think it would be best if the drone only revives when commanded to, not when its controlled to, meaning Crypto cannot be knocked in order for it to work. When Crypto is dead, and his drone is still deployed, it would make sense to let his teammates fly the drone, and it could either change ownership until Crypto is respawned, or the limited range is 200 meters from where Crypto had died.Because I can imagine Cryptos hiding and using the drone to revive their teammates, the drone revive could be one of the longest revives or the drone breaks after reviving a teammate, to where its not too strong. With every idea, we got to have a balance.

@Zulkiers Just to clearify, the golden knockdown shield took on the golden backpack's perk in S14, which was Vantage's season. Each season lasts about 3 or so months, so it can be easy to get them mixed up.

However, if it really was during season 14, it might of had been a bug or something that was being tested. It also could of been something accidentally added when they gave him the ability to pick up his teammate's banner cards while in his drone. If it was an accident, its been about 4 years since this feature was added, and from what I can recall, you couldn't use respawn beacons while in his drone during the early years of this ability.

I could pick up banners and instantly use the respawns and recons. Still can. Nothing has changed.
The only thing changed is A) {most recent} new armor system. B) {soon after I got him} No more DOC wire from Hack to allies, nor a prompt to revive. Perhaps the wire still exists, but only the prompt died, and with no prompt, no way to access the feature. They should bring it back. Killing that feature didn't change my playstyle, only made me more useless to my team.

I still find it hilarious that I often make 12 respawns per life as Crypto, assuming my team is about as good a shot as me (utterly terrible) and stuck with me through their multiple deaths.

Since I joined, Gold revive has always been better health revives, Gold Backpack extra rare healing items, gold helm faster cooldowns, gold armor double basic med potency. I'm sad they got rid of the gold armor. It was a life saver, especially if you got caught outside the ring. Made syringes insanely more useful.

I do like your idea. It’s a way of keeping players invested in the game so they still feel as though they have something to do whilst they wait to be revived.
I would limit it to when Cyrpto is not controlling the drone; another player who is who’s banner has already been collected can control the drone. Only Crypto has the ability to use his Ultimate and Crypto can still recall and take control of his drone as normal for when he needs to.
Perhaps this could be a perk?
