"Apex is in no way a team based game, I don't care what anyone says."
I'll take the heat for agreeing with you whole-heartedly on this one. This game does everything short of demand you play as a team, and then punishes you brutally for teaming up. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
That out of the way, there are some solid strategies for playing a no-fill match, but it makes the experience extremely inflexible and very repetitive. It involves knowing where every single evo harvester is the second the spawn in, having a method of fast transport to hit as many as possible, and lastly, having a good mid-range poke weapon that will allow you to do damage without putting you at high risk of being swarmed by the enemy. A mobility legend works best. I recommend Valk, as always. Know where your tridents are, know where your grav cannons are, know where your jump towers are, and always carry a mobile jump tower in your survival slot. If you can get to a care package before anyone else you may get lucky and find one of those evo jackpots waiting for you. That one's a little more high-risk, but worth considering if you feel you have a good sense of enemy positions and movement.
And even if you have all of this down, there will still be matches where position vs. circle makes the solo gambit untenable. Not impossible, but not worth the risk or effort. And if you do this for ten matches in a row you'll be lucky if in two of them you get to face off against a final squad that is less than three people. Which only matters if your goal is a win, but if it is then you probably wouldn't be no-filling.
It's a team based game, and that's the fact.
IT'S A TEAM BASED GAME!
