What I'd like to see for Octane...
Even faster sprint while using stim. At least +40% speed, maybe even 50%? But only for sprinting, as to make strafing not become absolutely obnoxious to deal with when playing against Octane. Also drop down the health cost of using stim to 10, if it isn't already. Death recap states it deals 12 damage at least.
MUCH better air control with the bounce pad. It already uses the engines/rockets visually, so it should give you much more strafing control. Also to, holding forward should make you accelerate as you fly through the air, and flatten the flightpath. Holding back should make you jump nearly straight up and gain MUCH higher height than it does currently. Not holding any direction should be roughly the same as it is currently in terms of distance and height.
This would give the jump pad a lot more uses, both for scaling up taller structures (such as the drills at Epicenter and Thermal) and for traversing flat terrain faster. Also would help it be more useful in combat, since flying too high makes you an easy target, so being able to fly at a flatter, faster trajectory would be immensely useful.
I personally think the passive is fine as it is, but if any buff... Give it ONE of the following:
Always active
Not deactivated by using stim
Not deactivated by shield damage
