- @Benchwarmerbrew Diamond is the area where you go against the REAL competition, if you can do this and make points, you earn your title as Apex predator. Think of Diamond as the rank where you are earning the right to call yourself an apex predator, sharing a title with that of some of the best players in the world should not come easy, and isn't for everyone.
Apex is the job, Diamond is just the interview process. If you don't prove you can do the job in the interview, then you won't get the job.
That's just how I see it anyway. Having to go against top 500 preds that are 3 stacking isnt going to prove anything. The skill gap is way too different and it's not fair. Diamonds should have to go against other diamonds and no one else. I dont care if there isnt more diamonds online to fill the lobby up, guess we just wont play then. There shouldnt be more apex legends in diamond lobbies than actual diamonds
- @Tperodactyl If the skill gap is way too different between you and predators, then you have reached your skill ceiling and just have to accept your a diamond level player? I have been unable to make points consistently in order to rank up now I've hit Diamond, meaning my skill ceiling is Diamond.
And come on, you can't say the reason your losing every Diamond ranked game is because every time It's a top 200 apex predator, I have tonnes of games where I don't see Apex predators in diamond and also a lot of games where I do. There's plenty of opportunities to make points and rank up in diamond, some of us just can't.
Last season only 0.2% of the player base reached Apex Predator, the odds are against you, and even more so if you're solo-queueing like myself. Your logic doesnt make much sense. Theres a difference between a predator and a top 100 predator on PC you do realize that right? Just because I cant kill pros doesnt mean I'm capped out at diamond 4
Another match against Mohr and Hal, only top 100 apex pred. There literally is 0 point to even have a diamond ranked if 99% of the players are preds. Ranked is ruined
@BenchwarmerbrewWhat I am saying, makes perfect sense, just because they're well known it doesn't mean the other predators aren't still going to wipe the floor with you. Just because they aren't streaming or well known by us, they're still extremely good players that made it to Apex predator.
Also, you're not facing the top 100 predators in every single game you play are you, so your you're also losing games against players who are not in the top 100, suggesting you've reached your skill ceiling. 99% of the players in Diamond are not preds, I play Diamond all the time.Edit: You're obviously a good player if you made it to diamond, maybe you haven't hit your ceiling, maybe you just need a pre-made team on the same page as you with comms and strategy., Making it to Diamond as a solo player isn't easy (wasn't for me anyway) but soloing to Pred is a whole other story.

Yeah cause im totally lying about having ImperialHal and Mohr in my game and getting killed by them and every team i get killed by are top 500 preds. I'm totally lying about that.
- @Tperodactyl Theres a huge difference between a d4 and d3 player. In my mind there’s only 3 tier levels: plat 4 and under, plat 3-diamond 4, and d3-pred. Personally, I want to play preds to get better at the game even if I get rolled constantly. For me it’s competition, and I don’t want to play against people who are easy to win against.
