Ok... What do we think about ranked?

Ranked feels awful this season - Why am I facing pro players?

I'm a career Plat/Diamond player with a lifetime KD of like .8 or .95

So far this week, I've played against the following pro players in ranked:
ImperialHal (GOAT)
Shooby (one of the best shooters in the world)
Naughty (also one of the best shooters in the world)
Alliance Effect (probably the best shooter in the world, EWC LAN champ, MVP of recent LAN I think)
And a few more...

Why am I even near these lobbies? This is absolutely killing the fun this season for my squad and I. We're all around the same skill level, but we're getting slaughtered every night by the pro players who've been playing for 5 hours straight. For every 15 sweat lobbies we get maybe one that's competitive. 

Is anyone else experiencing this? We've literally decided to stop playing ranked because it's simply just not fun, rewarding, or competitive.

    Simple version: population decline means they have to dig deeper into the barrel to find people for these pros to play against. That's you, my friend. To be honest, given how wide the skill ranges are in matchmaking, there are people a lot lower than you on the ladder who are facing off against these guys. If that's any comfort. Upside: you get a guest star slot in pro streams on a regular basis. Feels good, right?
