Option to buy Past Battle Passes (up to the level earned at the time)

Hey there,

I searched the forum and surprisingly I could only find one post (by @cynicalbirdman here) that was in essence what this thread is about, but since that is quite an old post I didn't want to necro it, so here goes.

I (along with various users on Discords I'm in) would love an option to purchase past Premium Battle Passes and get the appropriate rewards that were earned, but not unlocked, at the time.

In other words: I am unable to throw money at EA even if I wanted to (which in this case I do, call me crazy).

Personally I started playing in Season 10, and leveled the BP to 110 before I took a bit of a break. At the time I didn't know how the whole BP thing worked since Apex is my first game with a Battle Pass. I assumed the items would just go into the shop, but well, I know better now. Anyway, when I read up on it and realised how it works, I went to buy it, but we were 3-or-so-days into Season 11, so no Season 10 BP rewards for me.

To make some things clear:

1. I am not talking about leveling past Battle Passes.

If you didn't play at the time, or didn't play enough, you shouldn't be able to get the rewards (recolors notwithstanding, but that's a different can of worms). This is a) fair towards the people that did play and invested their time and b) from a developer standpoint the whole point of a battle pass is an incentive to drive daily active users. Being able to level up BP way past its season would defeat this very same purpose.

There are various threads for that idea, and personally I don't agree with this, see below.

2. Rewards would be the same as buying it in-season (minus Apex Coins and XP-Boosts of course). Meaning that you should only receive rewards up to the point you leveled the Battle Pass at the time. Stopped leveling at 99 at the time? No reactive weapon for you. The reasoning is the same as point 1.

in essence, exclusive rewards should stay exclusive to active players at the time. As a Wattson main I would love the Cyberpunked skin, but I also understand that it is a rarity for a reason and came to terms with not being able to get it anymore (since it was a Season 4 BP reward). I get the sense of pride players feel for owning rare items/skins (I own the OG Championship Riven skin in League of Legends, which until this day is one of the rarest skins in the game), and that should not be taken away as it will alienate that part of the playerbase.

Also fun fact: I thought that maybe EAs support might have the ability to unlock Battle Passes manually (given the appropriate amount of Apex Coins of course). But when I asked the same question in EAs support chat, the response was that there was supposedly an option in the Battle Pass page in the game. Well, no, there isn't (or I wouldn't have contacted support in the first place). It seems there is some potential for improvement 😉
