Overall Legends Changes and Feedback

Hello everyone! I played apex for a couple of months now and I love this game! It is like no other game and it's really fun to play. Of course the are some issues like the sbmm, but that's not the point in this topic.

I have a few thoughts about all the legends. Some of them deserve some buffs and others maybe some nerfs. I would love to read your opinion as well 🙂

It's gonna be a long post, so sorry in advance 

Bloodhound:

Is good as he is but maybe they could nerf the scan, since it's practically a wall hack. Maybe it could be changed back to what it was back then, where only the current position is visualized (without the movement tracking). Since bloodhound is able to scan all 3 seconds while in ultimate it should be fine.

Bangalore:

Is in a good spot.

Caustic:

They nerfed him hard. Maybe a little too much. If they don't want to change anything about the damage, maybe they could expand the range of the gas in the ult and the traps. So that it gradually expands when activated and gain a 20% range increase.

Crypto:

Is in a good spot. Maybe a little tweak to the tactical, that when hold it throws the drone in a straight line without entering it. This could allow some more aggressive playstyle.

Fuse:

Fuse is in a good spot but I think needs some minor changes to the tactical and ultimate.

The ultimate is really only a option to open doors from far away. It has no other utility except for some little extra damage. Maybe they could add some concussion visual effect to enemies hit, where they get minor shakes for every explosion of the knuckle cluster.

The ultimate should in my opinion be a single grenade which hits the center of the circle and then expands rapidly  in a ring of fire extending to its maximal range. This would make the ultimate a little bit easier to use and land effectively.

Gibraltar:

Remove the fortified perk. He is a tank already with his shield and the dome.

Horizon:

Remove the ability to strafe while using her tactical.

Lifeline:

Give her the old passive back. It is more balanced and has a skill gap to it.

Her ult could always and only have medikits, batteries, syringes and shield cells. The time for the care package to come down should be reduced. Maybe it could take the time like a titan in titanfall. When the package drops it could also have a gibbi dome around it, to prevent damage while looting it. A bit like titanfall 

Loba:

Fixing her tactical is important! After that make her shoot while using the tactical or let her move at normal speed after teleporting. It is too easy to hit a loba after she lands her tactical.

Her ultimate should be able to grab allies banners if in range or have three slots for every legend.

Mirage:

Is good as it is

Octane:

Good as it is. A fun idea could be to add to his tactical the ability to wall run and to double jump (like titanfall) and to add a pilot skin. But it is more of a fun idea as a serious thought. 

Pathfinder: 

I think he is good as it is. 

Rampart:

I like rampart. But she needs some more mobility. I think the possibility to deploy her tactical like a caustic gas can or horizons gravitational lift, would give her more mobility. She could throw it ahead of herself or her allies and allow a more fluid and aggressive gameplay. The wall should be completely build up in 2 seconds. It takes way too much time to build up. 

In addition to that the amped bullets through her wall have too much optical effects on it. It is nearly impossible to hold track of targets. The optical effects should be reduced or taken away completely. 

Revenant:

Give him infinite climb. After the first few meters also a normal climb speed and not a reduced one. 

Then give him a smaller hit box or the fortified perk. 

Wattson:

Double her passive of shield regeneration.

The ultimate should be completely changed. She could maybe charge up and emit an electric Shockwave that charges up the shields completely of her and her allies if in range. In addition to that there could be an electrostatic field that prevents grenades and abilities to function. At the current state her ult is just a worse gibbi dome. 

Wraith:

Reduce the duration of the phasing animation to 0.5 or 1 second.

  • I like these ideas except for the last couple.

    1: revenant should NOT get Fortified. He obviously doesn't have a small hitbox but he's very thin, and something like fortified would make him amlost impossible to duel. A hitbox reduction to the very bottom of his legs and his head would do nicely here.

    2: Rampart throwing her shields is a great idea, but 2 second deploy is simply too fast. Rampart is intended to be a proactive hero who sets up before a fight, and setting up a ~400 health wall in the time it takes for octane to recharge still is too much.

    3: Horizon's tactical definitely need tuning, but let me give my opinion. The ability to maintain significant upward momentum(something most people are unable to consistently account for) paired with the ability to strafe FASTER THAN ON THE GROUND allows horizon to safely hit even Phoenix kits on open ground while being shot at. That said, removing her ability to strafe at all would make the ability basically useless, but slowing her strafe speed to normal while maintaining upward speed should make it manageable without removing that valuable and likely intentional Dodge ability.

    4: Judging by your wording, you didn't play when wraith was the god-queen of skirmishing. You see, back before season 5, wraith could enter phase in 0.4 seconds, allowing her to almost instantly cut and run from any fight she pleased. A remotely skilled wraith with that phase was all but impossible  to kill, and adding a tenth of a second to that won't keep that from happening again. I think her phase is fine as is, being an effective repositioning tool while also acting as a get out of jail free for players who know when they're beat and know how to work the ability.

    Otherwise, good ideas.

  • @HUN7ER3K Actually revenant hitbox is the 3rd biggest in the game, as a semi rev main its very easy to tell

  • @HUN7ER3K that's why i don't play wraith anymore i think making her Q 0.5 sec will be nice. just stop ruining great legend and make other legend strong .... they gonna ruining horizon like wraith and pathfinder ....

    That's why I think a hitbox reduction would work. He's very thin but very tall, and I feel like fortified wouldn't fit his character. Making his vertical hitbox smaller would have the same effect while still making sense.

    @solo_ARK4N It is almost an objective fact that wraith was overpowered when she could phase that fast. To balance it would require either a massive cooldown increase or a nerf to the being phased part(I.e. less than three seconds of phase time, more wind down, etc.). Wraith's tactical is meant to get you from point A to point B safely, and it was never meant to be a free escape from poorly planned fights. That said, 1.25 seconds isn't too long, and if you know how to survive for that long with the -20% speed(which isn't hard at all), and you know when a fight's a lost cause, it can still be used just like it was. It simply requires more thought and planning than before.

    she was for people who play this game aggressively like aceu. you want me to play fk rampart and put fk walls that good gameplay for you lol you can't play wraith aggressive anymore that why aceu stopped playing her and played horizon ...
  • the only reason wraith could be played that agressively was that stupidly op Q

    and the small hitbox.

    she does not have a kit that makes her a crazy agressive character.

  • When it comes to Lifeline. Her ult needs to be completely reworked. Not only you give away your possition across the whole map. But the loot you get, is not really that good. Since they remade Loba's ult., lifeline's ult compared to loba's is really obsolete. Loba has ult every few seconds and everyone can pick up two items they want, and as much ammo as they want. I've got idea for lifeline's ult, maybe its too OP, but hey. Let's give it a shot.

    So, if anyone in your team dies, their card gets instantly picked up (ults passive, optional) And her ult would be instant "combat ready" respawn (white shield + p2020 with 40 light ammo). Since she's healer, it would make sense. Instead of  "look in the sky, you see that loud huge drop? Here im, come kill me".

    idk i feel it is ok to have a downside on the lifeline ultimate.

    its the same with loba ult and bloodhound scan. you see it from very far away and know their position.

    the general problem with that thing is: there is so much loot on all 3 maps,

    you simply do not need an extra combat loot drop.

    instant combat rezz is completely OP.

    especially with white shield + p2020.

    this gun is actually really good if you hit your shots.

    and even further, i dont think you actually want a legend that needs his teammates to die to be effective.

    i think thats not a good idea at all.

    the ultimate has to be reworked, yes, but it should have some use while your team is alive.

    they will nerf the revive pretty hard next season, no more shield für the autorezz.

    lets see whats coming for the ultimate.
