"Overdrive mode" for nonhop-up weapons

Ok, so stay with me. Say you have a hop exspample: choke, you can't add that to say p2020 normally. With overdrive mode say you can fire 3 charged shots with a p2020 that improves it's distance and reduces bullet drop. After the 3rd shot if the hop isn't removed the P2020 exsplodes. After removal of hop the accuracy of the P2020 basically goes to crap. This can be done with others say turbocharger to an alternator. I dunno just ideas.
