Penalty for players who abandon the game early

Are there are any future plans to introduce a penalty system to players who abandon games early? This is becoming increasingly frustrating as players who quit prematurely, place their team at an immediate disadvantage. I am aware of the report/block option; however, I question thr impact this has on reported players. If this practise continues, it will be the main reason why I stop playing the game. I am sure many other players feel this way too.

Just play Ranked and you will also be getting somehow same skilled players into your lobbies as you are. Its mostly actually easier than unranked nowadays if you wont get into Diamond 4 like me. :D Its a same game as TRIOS, just with some progress thru ranks. 🙂 I think you gonna like it, just try it.
No need for penalty in pubs, its best like this.

@snowmangjd There is a penalty for every single mode except for regular battle royale. That will never get a timer, in an attempt to keep it casual.

Totally agree - this seems to be getting worse. I'd say over 50% of my teammates disconnect as soon as they get knocked and I often die going to revive or respawn them
Something should be done to discourage this

PUBS has become unnecessary as a game mode. Everyone who wannts to play a BR game hast to play ranked...
See no point in playing PUBS, for what, for Team Deathmatch? There are better games for that kind of mode. You spend more time in the Lobby if you play PUBS then ingame.
So I suggest playing Battlefield or any other online Shooter with instant respawn after death...more fun, less Lobby...

complain not about the ppl who quit, complain about the rigged matchmaking, bcs the quitting is a result of it.
i feel for everyone that gets placed with ppl not their "weightclass", I queue and 99 out of 100 times i get players sub 100kills, why should i waste my time carrying those players over the finish line ? most of the time they dont even know about their ultimate and how to use it, drop in spots they dont stand a chance in a 100 years ect.
really stinks like some sort of "shadowban", since not everyone has the same experience.
