People leaving the game while I'm executing them for shield regen

Hey, Respawn! I'm here about a concern I have with this new passive you guys gave all the legends. Whenever you execute someone, everyone gets their shields recharged completely. I've had many incidents where the person I'm executing, ESPECIALLY late game, leaves the game and I don't get the shields. It's such an annoying thing for the enemy player to do, and I feel like if they leave the game during the execution, you should still be rewarded with the shield regen. It always happens late game when there's only 3 squads left and I've lost games because of it. Please fix this. It's kind of frustrating not being able to use such a useful passive just because someone gets tilted I'm executing them. You guys are doing such a great job with this season and the new map. Thank you!

Whenever someone has quit while I've been executing them my shields have gone up to full. So this sounds more like a bug that it doesn't always work as the Devs intended rather than a change that's needed.

I am not sure what happened because this game has no updates yet.
Anyway, they hotfixed this. What I mean is before if you did a finisher and they leave the game. You got ZERO shields from it. Now if you do a finisher and they leave. You will get the shields fully healed no matter what.

When did they hotfix this? Because the last time it happened to me was 2 days ago.

@OldMenInBed Not sure when it happened, but I noticed it Oct 12th, 2019.

Not many people even know about this change because there's no patch or even a mention of the fix or change.

It might be in Tomorrow Patch Notes update for the next event and Charge Rifle nerf. I'm just shocked that things in the game can be hotfixed without any patches.

It's a good change though. I still don't know if these will could towards Finisher Challenges because people leave when you are trying to do a finisher challenge and you get no credit. That is something I still need to confirm. I just can't confirm it because for one, I need the challenge and then the person I do it on needs to leave.
