I get is almost every day because of Centurylink. 20+ year old lines that are not maintained. They refuse to examine or replace them.- Midnight974612 months agoHero+@Zulkiers Ah, your first mistake was using CenturyLink. They tend to charge too much for very little while other providers charged less for more.

Dad refuses to get Satellite internet.
Wants to stick with line-based only.
Centurylink is literally the only one.
I wish I could get some backup satellite internet. Hughesnet is basically the only other thing we can get out here in the woods.
"It's too insecure." "Someone can put up a dish and steal all our information."
Yeah right.
Thinks he knows everything because he's been an IT administrator at a college.
I doubt he knows anything about Satellite.
Perhaps that's why he doesn't want it? Because he doesn't know how to control it?
