@Zulkiers Ah, that's unfortunate. Not much you can really do in that case. 

As for the "satellite being too insecure", eh... I could say the same thing for any connection such as cable, broadband, cellular, and even fiber optics. When data is sent out as you use the Internet, anyone can intercept it, (which mainly would be those on the same Wi-Fi as you, which is why using public ones is risky).

He might not like satellite because of the fact that the data is sent out to space and back, which isn't all that different from other connections, (as in the data is still being sent out). Which it then comes down to the encryption of the data and how secure the connection is. Maybe he thinks its not as encrypted as other connections?

Where I live, we have CenturyLink, Verizon, T-Mobile, and a few other local state ones that I won't name. Verizon and T-Mobile isn't all that bad, but my family and friends had told me to avoid cellular. As for CenturyLink, I've had it before, I hated it. (It was basically a robbery as I got next to nothing for a higher price than other providers). So, I ended up going with one of the local ones with good reviews, and its been quite nice.
