Plagiarism w.r.t. Horizon Backstory

Regarding the video posted today at https://youtu.be/k-amupfoQBE, the comments (and their replies) posted by "TF FOC GRIMLOK The Siva Mind" and "Pinoy Public Pranks" rightly point out that the plot in this video is CLEARLY a ripoff of Interstellar by Christopher Nolan. I had to complain about this because this is incredibly brazen and such brazenness really sucks when I am so attached to this game.

Stop copying! Why can't you all come up with something original? There is a TON of unexplored plot lines in regards to space, theoretical physics, and black holes. This is fertile ground, and this makes it even more sad that you feel like you need to steal the plot of Interstellar.

    @3enilly This is not plagiarism at all. It's just inspiration. They are completely different.

    And at this point nobody really cares. It's a good plot regardless of how it was created.

    Nah, plagiarism would be passing off a comparable product as their own and profiting off it.
    This is a deliberate nod at Interstellar, and Apex is full of references to other cultural works and tropes.

    Were you equally outraged with:
    - Pathfinder's Wizard of Oz dive emote
    - Mirage's voiceline 'Ladies and Gentlemen.. we got em!'
    - Mirage Voyage portraying the famous Titanic boy scene
    - Gibraltar and Path posing in the Edge of Tomorrow loading screen
    - the Crypto banner animation emulating Nosferatu's Count Orlok
    (there's dozens of them)


    I personally like how the developers are putting homages into their game to these awesome bits of culture.
    Is there anything more appropriate in the age of memes?

    @3enilly were you personally involved in the making of that waste of time move interstellar?

    i highly doubt it, so why do you care?
    how big are the chances these days that things like this will be similar to other moves/games.

    if this bothers you then please crawl under a rock and stay there untill your an adult.
