People insta quit because they want to be back into the game as fast as possible...die and go next. The aim is to have fun, and waiting to be respawned with nothing is not fun. There's no way that you can change the behaviour of someone who wants to improve by dropping into combat because they want maximum action to get better. Like it or not, Apex is no longer a game you can play on your own, or without friends.
Arena is for those players.

@IngeniekeyArenas is terrible, when I wanted them to add Arenas I was expecting there to be objectives to fight around, modes with respawns, third person mode, etc but all we got is ‘’sweat or be sweated’’ which just isn’t fun after awhile and became stale very fast
Winter Express is 10 times more fun than the current Arenas will ever be, I wish Winter Express was a permanent mode just without the Winter part so it made sense, also Titanfall 2 had amazing multiplayer modes that were a ton of fun (although personally I absolutely hated the Titans... but Pilot vs Pilots, Capture the Flag, and a few others were a ton of fun)

@TheApexLegendNubAdding objectives really takes the violence out of the game. The world needs less violent games. It then becomes more about the objective, not about the killing. Should be more fun than frustrating and ewoke more positive emotions rather than negative emotions when you run around killing people which is absurd to make as something "fun" to do. What a world we live in. "And the award goes to Respawn for making the world a better place"...?
-So what did you do the last 3 years?
Respawn dev: I worked on a game where people run around killing eachother...
-Oh... well thats, something...

Just play with 2 premades and you can develop your teamplay and "play as team" in whatever way you and your premades prefer.. Because that is the problem with your argument. You want them to implement measures to make random players to "play as a team" but the problem is that there is no objectively "correct" way (or at least very few) to play as a team". When I play with my 2 pred/master friends, OUR correct way of playing as a team is to land hot, grab the first weapon we find (even P2020 or Mozan) and then just frag. And after we win the hot drop, we loot quickly and then just start running towards the next fight. And if one of us get executed, the other two will just push like crazy until we win the fight or all die. That is OUR correct way of playing as a team and thats how we have the most fun.
But when I play with an IRL friend who even cant get out of Platinum, OUR correct way to play as a team is totally different and we have to play more strategically sound to have a good time.
But just regarding the title of the post; in all honesty, its the "drop, fight, die and repeat" in casual that actually makes you a good Apex players when it comes to the fundamental skills of this games, namely the fighting skills. So many of the current masters/preds got their skills from dropping and dying at Skulltown over and over. Actually; a major fault people do when they play ranked is exactly what you propose; they want to win at all cost. But by playing too safe to maximize your RP gain at all cost is just a way to shoot yourself in the foot, especially in the lower ranks like <Platinum where the RP gain from placement is so huge compared to the RP entry cost. Its here you should build your skills, but by hiding for 20 minutes with 0 KP just to get +40 in placement will not teach you anything. Imagine how much fight practice you could fit into that time if you just played much more aggressively!
