Players should not be able to jilt me out of a kill by leaving game before, for instance, the arc star I stuck them with explodes.
Players should not be able to deny finishers by exiting the game before the finisher completes.
A "log-out" timer of about 5-10 seconds, while the player is still alive in the match, would easily suffice.

Community AdminThanks for the feedback, hopefully something can be done to deal with the ragequitting. I've had to re-do a few challenges myself because of some folks doing this.
I think a 3 minute penalty is enough for leaving when you are knocked down
I agree its frustrating if your team Mate leaves, but what if your team mate is all the way across the map and you know they are not coming to get you, then you have a wait penalty anyways.
I was on a game with my son and we had been downed, I asked on chat if my son thought the team mate would come pick us up, as we said it the team mate shock his head to indicate he would not be coming to pick us up so that's the other frustrating bit of the timer now in place ......
People will just close the game and restart if the devs add a timer or remove the leave game option when players are knocked down and someone preforms a finisher.
Any other penalty like preventing people from playing another match for a few minutes or hours for leaving a unrank match will cause people to uninstall the game. Penalties should remain on rank matches and from what I noticed on console, people are staying in rank matches until their whole squad is wiped.
