Please Better Prevent DDOS Attacks

Playing pubs today, suddenly Apex Legends turned into Lagpex Legends. I thought it was just me, but all members of my squad (all randoms) got disconnected and we rejoined roughly at the same time. (I came back, and saw the red plug icon on both my teammates and then they loaded back in). Then a squad rolled up on us, with a level 33 that took out our health rather quickly. I manage to knock down two of them, and got the 3rd low, (1 or 2 more hits away from killing them), and then they just shot me once in the body while we were 1v1ing (at this point, my teammates were down too), and took my health which was around 80% full to 0, while I got no regs on them, despite hitting them twice before getting hit.

Fun how we're 9 seasons in, and people can still DDOS the servers. Right when we got kicked, this squad b-lined for us, and they were a Revenant, Horizon, and Octane, and only team that landed near us was one named location away.

Even if the team wasn't cheating, (don't think they were using aimbot or anything besides possible wall hacks, think they're just messing around with the game's packets by DDOSing), you would think EA/Respawn would be better equip to deal with this issue.
