thermites are primarily used to deny pathing.
frags are primarily used to create damage and this can be significant when used right.
different roles, no comparison.
- DrWizardo1 year agoSeasoned Ace@MrGreenWithAGun And I state that thermites are bad at what they do.
The intimidation factor of flames on the ground is meh, the effect meh, the time meh, the use meh... Also when you offer usage there is comparison in value. Is this item useful? Is it likely to be useful?
To me the thermite is underwhelming and needs to be looked at. - MrGreenWithAGun1 year agoRising Ace@DrWizardo
I disagree. If your shields are cracked and you can’t afford to take damage thermite is a great deterrent to movement.
But I can see you want to buff its deterrence. I am iffy on that but I can see why a small buff wouldn’t hurt. - Zulkiers1 year agoSeasoned Ace@MrGreenWithAGun
Also, if someone decides to tank a thermite, they'll take over 200 damage. Frags are 100 tops.
I've tanked one before and although I popped a battery on my purple shields, I still died to the thermite grenade. They might've shot me after I finished the battery, I forget. No one really uses them anymore, so I don't get scenarios where I need to tank thermite damage.
