Please do not add Solos or Duos

I think the game has been crafted to be played in squads. Some synergies that can be found between legends would be totally lost in Solos. Duos have absolutely no purpose has it keeps being a group based game with a one person missing. So it would have no difference from the current mode.

Solos cater mostly to persons who do not enjoy the social aspect of the game. Or, from what i gather from other forums, people who think that team-mates quitting upon death are dramatically skewing their game. Or worse, IMO, to players that believe to be so much better than anyone else that attribute each of their failures to others.

In addition, we already have so many other BR games offering solos. If a person does not really enjoy teams, then that person can definitely turn to other BRs. The game has been out for a few months and i believe that those who did not enjoy the game have already left. Apex does not have to be for everyone. What would be the point of adding Watson and then take the game towards the "single player" mode?

Solos would mean adjusting old and new content for the different mode. That'd mean extra work for Respawn, and could result in a) really just more work for the team (and they seem to try to keep a somewhat worker-friendly balance) or b) an overall slowed down output of content in the future, including for the squad-based mode the game is entirely built around atm.

@Vdstrk Like others have mentioned and will likely continue to do so (also on this thread), you don’t have to play solo’s if/when it comes out.

Your assumption of ‘not liking social aspect’ is at least wrong in my case. I like playing this with ppl I know who can actually play this game. It’s even fun sometimes seeing how utterly bad some random teammates are due to bad decisionmaking, worthless aim, not thinking at all or a combo of those 3. But the reason most of the ppl wanting solo’s is because they want a solo challenge or just want something different within Apex’ jacket.

Like you mentioned, other BRs have solo modes as well. So it fits in the general BR formula. Yes there needs to be some tweaking for Apex to make it worth, but guess what, that’s what developers are for and that’s how you innovate.

‘Apex does not have to be for everyone’, yea... Respawn is a business and like any business they want as much business as they can get. So they want to cater to as many as they can.

So far I have not seen a flat denial of solo’s or duos which makes me believe they are still thinking/tinkering about the idea.

What's innovative about solo? As you acknowledged, every other BR has it.

The point is, the game is a squad based game. Why would you even pick it up if you wanna play solos?

That is quite my point. People think to be so much better than other that instead of trying and help, they sit back watching other mistakes, get worked up and quit just to repeat the same experience over and over. IMO that is an example of poor sportsmanship. If you are so much better than others as you think you are (and perhaps you really are that good no argument), why not coaching couple friends? Also, would it hurt to establish friendships with the goal of succeeding at the game? Solo is a way to avoid all that, which is fine as plenty of other BRs offer that mode.

Why adding Watson, a team based legend, if they wish to take the game to solos? What i mean is, why taking the time to add a new legend, the effort to see how it fits within the rest of the game, to simply have a solo mode which would make that legend as well as others quite useless? What would be the point of a combat medic in a solo?

This game is lacks of content adding solos/duos whould make this game back on its track solo rankeds would be so good on this game

Nah, disagree. Squad is perfect for this game. The game is successful. Ranked is gonna be added. No need to make it into yet another PUBG.

You pick Wraith and I have Pathfinder. I have high ground that you cannot get to. How do you even try to kill me before I nail you? Oh you'd pick Pathfinder to? So do the other 60 players. Then what?
Do you like being third partied in squads? Hope so, because you'll be multiple partied in solo.
The game is not built for it. I wouldn't like Respawn to waste their time trying to balance and appease all the soloists at the detriment of the core game.
I bet if solos did come, the complaints on here would come thick and fast as to legend balance, loot balance and how slow mid game is and the ring... the list carries on.
But hey, my issue is I like to be carried lol. You couldn't carry a tissue I bet 🤔

@Silz616Once again farcical arguments trying to defend yourself because you’re heavy reliant on others... And if they added solo’s they’ll obviously need to make adjustments such as disabling legends ability and change of map ect... You dont have trust in your gaming skills i get it stay in your squads section then , solo’s is needed regardless if you wanna admit it or not

So you essentially do not like Apex and would like to play another game....

There are plenty to chose from that offer solo.
