@Vdstrk I didn't say putting solo's would be innovative. I said with tweaking so that it works, the solo's mode could/would be innovative. Every BR game has the same formula at the fundamental level. 'Be the last one alive'. But the way to approach that is what makes a BR unique. Apex Legends came with a few things that stood out so I'd call that innovation from the others that were released before it. Others have even copied some of the things.
In it's current state solo's wouldn't be viable with the character abilities. So if Respawn can overcome that, Apex will in my eyes have obtained new innovation for a mode within.
'meat eaters vegan restaurant' I knew you'd come with such an argument, and thank you for indulging. Thing is I said 'cater to as much as possible' and not 'cater to as much as possible, while going for another demographic/group'. Apex already has it's foundation and fanbase. Within that fanbase are already vegans (using your analogy) who wanna try something new on the menu. Not only eat the base vegan menu, but something different, that's still veganistic. They don't have to go to another restaurant (other BR) to try something out, because they already like this restaurant (Apex).
Lolz I partly agree and partly disagree with that sportmanship, but ppl don't want hundreds of hours dealing with bad teammates or bad games. Sometimes they just wanna play by their lonesome. This has nothing to do with ego or skills. Like in real life, you don't always wanna be with your friends. Sometimes you just wanna be left alone.
If you don't want to make new friends, why should a game 'force' you into that. I've gotten so many friend requests from ppl, yet I don't want them (no ego talking, I just don't willy nilly add everyone) all because I played a good game.
So many characters are team based legends, that's why I said in opening statement that they need to rework legends for solo's to work. Maybe it wouldn't be Apex anymore, maybe it still will be. The only way to be sure is to actually test it.
