Please Don't Split the Ranked Seasons

I guess it's splitted because of the two maps, but this makes the ranked ladder pretty much a joke. The rank system has other issues in itself, but giving only a month to climb up makes this worse. Not only casual, but average players have a hard time climbing it just because it's such a short period of time.

I have these thoughts every time I choose between ranked and normal:

- I know I won't reach a high rank in such a short time, so I better play some normal without the annoying feature of deserter penalty in situations where your teammates won't even come for your banner, but you would have to wait, and you get penalty for normal as well.

- Sure playing normal can be fun because of all the casuals, but it can be a nightmare because of all the casuals as your teammates as well.

So what to do? The solution is to make ranked more appealing:

- Reduce the length of the ladder either by removing one tier (plat / diamond / master), or remove one step from each tier.

- Make ranked the default option when pressing "Play".

- Give and SHOW some nice awards (in-game, not in some video on YouTube) for higher ranks.

- And of course the title. Don't split ranked because if the map problem. You can change map mid season, I don't care, but why reset the rank?

- This is a fast paced game, so changing back and forth between the intense action and the long waiting when you die, and the long waiting that is the legend picking is a bit irritating. To be honest I would even reduce the banner expire time to maybe 2/3 of it's current value. Also, I would definitely make the legend picking shorter. Like 3 seconds per player. It was cool the first month, but I could see back then that it will become as annoying as it really is now. Talking about annoying, please make a separate switch in the menu for all the useless voice lines (like "the ring is close", the spamming of "ring is collapsing in x", all the stupid jokes), and the actual useful "ping" voice lines.

This is a game that is almost perfect in my eyes, but at the same time it's running on like 50% efficiency. So much potential lost. This is still the best battle royale for me because of several things, like the mostly balanced legends, the fact that it's not a legend ability spamfest, instead you need skill to get results, the fast pace, and perfect movement system, etc. BUT, there are some weird decisions from time to time, like this splitting of ranked seasons, and some gameplay changes I can't get behind. So that's my feedback.
