Please Fix/Adjust Loot Drop Rates

I'm just getting so tired of constantly landing on nothing, literally, nothing.

The majority of all drops is almost on par with a survival game, but we're in an FPS. Having to run and run constantly between buildings, to find any form of a weapon, attachments or shield/bags, is becoming so tedious with this season's drop rates.

It only makes matters worse, that guns are so poor after excessive nerfing.

Have you ever considered nerfing everything in your game isn't the answer, and actually buffing may be more enjoyable. Nobody wants to pick up or use 90% of the weapons in your game... They're that unbalanced or poor performing: AR's can't be used at a medium distance, Marksmen rifles may as well not be in the game (noone uses them), shotguns can't win any legitimate 1v1 against an actual gun, every energy gun is worse than its other ammo gun counterparts, ect.

And if you're think I'm being harsh or talking rubbish, just look at every single persons loot endgame, there is no variety... Its the same guns that everyone uses.

You had a good thing with the original Hemlock, the original G7, the original Mastiff, ect... But you continue to NERF and NERF, just stop this mentality, please!

  • @jlpoddie413 I agree, there is no reason why the devs couldn't increase the amount and/or quality of the loot on a map. More guns = Less fist fights. Given the option, I'm pretty sure every single player would rather use a gun over their fists. Melee should be an absolute last resort, unfortunately right now it is a top option in close combat, which is stupid, because this is a First Person SHOOTER.

I completely agree, and believe the whole system of loot and weapons in this game, is quite frankly broken.

The only guns with any substance, and the only weapons you actually find on lootable bodies endgame are: R301, Flatline, R99 and Spitfire.

If you have or hold any of these guns in a fire fight, and are against any of the other alternative weapons not mentioned, more often than not you'll win.

Sure, there are some exceptions to runner up weapons... Volt, Wingman, Longbow, Sentinel. But a volt is weak, not even on the same page as the R99. The wingman and snipers require a certain level of skill, and since this is the case, the reward payoff isn't there for most people so they are ignored.

I just wish to pick up a weapon class that feels adequate and balanced enough to engage in a fire fight. Instead of this weapon structure system Respawn use... Why should a player be penalised or punished for landing on a Hemlock, Alternator, any shotgun, any marksman (as an example), when there opponent lands on a R301 or R99.

The balancing is so poor and there is such a difference in weapon level structures and tiers, that it separates the weapons drastically. I hate it!

But this company just choses to instead of fixing the issue, by promoting other guns and having more variety, so there is less of a weapon imbalance... To constantly NERF weapons with any real substance or simply shove them into the loot drop.

Why can't they just revert the Hermlock to its season 1 meta. Revert the G7. NERF the Havok slightly, but also remove the stupid charge up time (which makes it unplayable). Revert the Mastiff. Revert the Peacekeeper.

Instead of nerfing everything they get right, they need to focus on buffing and balancing weapons which aren't usable in a practical 1v1, against their counter part top their weapon classes.

  • @jlpoddie413 I agree about everything except the shotgun part, those things are broken at least the eva 8 and the peacekeeper... the mastiff might aswell get care packaged eventually so its viable again after the nerfs

@TheApexLegendNub I have noticed a lot of people share a distain for the shotguns, from the various forum posts.

Being almost forced to use them in order to complete the tedious and repetitive shotgun challenges in arena and battleroyal, I found them to be far to inferior in a 1v1 scenario, against an automated weapon... Since the damage per second was so low and damage output so inconsistent.

I'm yet to see anyone carrying a shotgun in endgame within the Plat/Dia lobbies. Whereas, season 1, we had the Mastiff.

But, I will admit I seem be in the minority on this one, so maybe I'm wrong.

They're also nerfing the Eva-8 on Tuesdays update, so that will appease a lot of people. But to me this is Respawn once again taking a lazy approach to weapon balancing, and not addressing the weaker weapons in the game. Which is what my entire post is about.

Now next season if you land on an Eva-8, as opposed to a R99 or any other top their weapon... You simply don't stand a chance of winning the fight. Just like you don't now with the Mastiff.
