Please refine weapon reload

Im terrible at composing such things, so ill try to keep it short and simple.

At current state of the game, reload while on empty clip only starts if you try to fire without any ammo left, which is terribly frustrating, especially on shotguns
A good QoL change would be the reload starting after shooting the last bullet instead, EXCEPT if the weapon was swapped. Pretty much every game did that, and im sure it would save so many deaths if this one did aswell. So many times i find myself in the head of the battle, knowing that this one more shot with peacekeeper ive got will finish the enemy..... but the clip is empty with no indication and i die reloading instead... 

Respawn... Please fix...

    true, but its just unnecessary inconvenience. When 2-3 teams just pop on you near the end its nearly impossible to keep track of everything, so a little help to keep track of yourself wouldn't be a bad thing. Its exactly why i mentioned this as an QoL change

    Well then learn to look at your ammo count, and reload whenever you can.

    I want to second this... despite the snarky reply to the original, it would make life so much easier to auto reload
