Power Sword Owner Issue!!

I don't understand why would you offer us game consumers a power and add different colors, when in fact it's actually useless, it doesn't shoot projectiles or guard in any color you purchase, like the in game blue power sword. Why would you offer us a melee power sword to buy, when you knew it doesn't function as it should, it feel like a waste of money. Why should a owner of the power sword have to use a different power sword when they already bought it.

  • We keep calling them a "heirloom" because when the game first launched these cosmetics that was the name for them. Which most in the game still refer to them as a heirloom. They have since been renamed to "Mythical" cosmetics. All still fall under the same category. Just because one is universal and another is not does not mean it comes with game mode perks. Most in the game fully understand that its the game mode that gave such advantages not the actual mythic weapon. No one scammed anyone. You are the first person in apexs lifetime ive seen even think that it would come with some extra perks or advantages. Everyone else clearly knows what they are getting.

Again, when making such purchases it will always be best to ask the questions you may assume you know or understand. It never hurts to ask before making a purchase what exactly it is you are purchasing and does it come with some extra jazz to give an advantage or purely a "A look at my cool shiny new toy" item.

Listen we consumers can clearly read and understand what we purchase so you can defend your explanation all you want but the facts are facts it clearly says "Universal Melee".

Yes, Because you can melee with it. Physically melee 30 damage hits. Nothing more. All of them are labeled this way. Im a consumer like you ive bought 6 of them personally and gotten 2 from random packs. Its universal because when these weapons first launched they were legend specific. So thats where the word universal comes from it allows all legends to equip them universally verse legend specific. All are in the melee category because when you do a melee attack you are hitting that enemy with the heirloom instead of the games default fist animations.

So im not defending an explanation im trying to help you understand one you are misunderstanding.

  • If it was a heirloom it would have a introduction animation of the apex character holding the "power sword" especially if that player was a champion, most experienced players know this, so your smoke screen explanation doesn't hold water.

  • You know and I know I'm correct so don't try to say I "misunderstand" all I want is equal rights for me and the consumers who bought the power sword to have the same ability as the in game power sword . So I don't care about you telling me a brief history.

"Give the power swords owners what they paid a lot of money for a "Univeral melee" with the same functions as the in game power sword."

Just so you know the universal melee cosmetics and the heirloom cosmetics as well as all other weapon and skin cosmetics are exactly what they are, cosmetics, nothing more nothing less. Their are no pay to win items, there are no in game cosmetics that provide in game benefits except for looking nice. From what I know this will not change.

No need to be rude to those trying to add to a discussion and provide additional information and context on a topic, especially when the purpose of these forums is for discussions to take place.

The in-game event power sword has a completely different move set that would make it extremely oppressive in traditional ranked or pubs matches, which is why it's only been available in LTMs or takeovers when it has shown up in the past.

Those that enjoy the cosmetic aspect can keep that around if they'd like to unlock an heirloom/mythic/universal melee item, but if you're wanting the actual moveset, that's a completely separate version of the weapon that's only available when playing those particular event modes.

Thanks for the feedback, however locking the thread here as it's run its course.
