We'll have to wait and see what happens with Season 2 and whether a penalty for leaving is implemented.
'Quitters' can be a nuisance but I think that games are best when there isn't too much heavy policing going on. I guess a balance has to be struck between players having the freedom to leave and punishing 'quitters'.
Adding some friends who will share new Legends is probably the best way to avoid clashes during selection. 🙂
