I actually disagree with this, I am a solo player and mainly play casual, but try ranked, and have gotten multiple bans and am currently on a 3 day ban. Why have a punishment for people who want to play in a casual environment? I believe that bans should only be in ranked because to put it simply, that's where a ban would matter. Leaving in ranked currently stops you from playing the game as a whole, you can't even go to the firing range. Only being banned from Ranked would improve the competitive lobbies and also keep an influx of casual players coming back

I'm also a solo player. I love it that players get punished for leaving their teammates to fend for themselves in ranked. Casual should also be this way. Yes, I agree, it's for fun. It's only a game. 100% agree. But it's a "squad based" game. Leaving your squad will have it's repercussions. It's fairly straight forward. I really don't understand how people cannot understand this. ?? It's baffling tbh

@zirkzise You make some really good points, but I have to respectfully disagree. A change like this wouldn't be intended to punish people for playing the game, it would be intended to disincentivize people playing the game in a way that ruins the experience for other people. Not everyone is an Apex Predator who can solo the rest of the lobby when both teammates leave mid-jump, and that shouldn't be the case in pubs anyway. As for leaving when knocked/eliminated, it doesn't matter if a player deems the other squad members incapable of reviving/respawning them or if they actually are incapable of getting to your box. It's just common courtesy to stick it out until your banner times out or your squad wipes. It's only 80 seconds, and there are 86400 seconds in a day.
If you read my suggestion a little closer, you'll notice that I added a caveat to prevent people from being banned for leaving games for reasons out of their control (connection, crashes, etc.) and a system to remove punishments for playing the game without leaving early. I disagree with your assertion that ranked is the only lobby that needs bans/suspensions. Any game's lifeblood is the casual gamer (by that game's standards), because there are just so many of them out there. If you keep the casual gamers happy, they spend money on the MTX store, which leads to more profit overall. You can like or dislike the casuals, but unless a game has millions of hardcore gamers who all buy MTXs, the game cannot support itself in the modern games-as-a-service market. That's why I would like to argue that, from a pure monetary standpoint, the casual pubs lobby is actually more important than the ranked lobby. That's why it should also receive the same QOL changes as ranked that make the experience more enjoyable.
The system that I propose isn't out to punish people who repeatedly leave games early (although that is an important aspect). The system I propose is to incentivize players to play the game in a way that doesn't hurt the experience for people they match with. The system I propose would even prevent being banned for having to duck out of a game early because of a job or having to go eat, because it lowers the warning count by one for every ten games played without leaving early.

It's to easy guys. Punish the wrong ban them what ever.
It's not a solution. You have Pepole getting 3 days ban and they are still leaving matches.
The solution is in the rewards.
Instead of punish leavers reward for staying. so simple and useful.
