Rampart Passive Rework

The biggest problem with Ramparts passive (in my opinion) is that it's rarely relevant. Due to the large magazine size of most LMGs the extra bullets are almost never relevant (with the Spitfire shredding 4.6 enemies with red evos, the Rampage 3.2, the devotion 2.5 and L-Star 1.5. (all calculated at base magazine size without any buffs and only body shots)). Furthermore the amped cover helps with safely reloading.
The L-Star is the LMG which gets the most use out of her passive, but it has since been nerfed into the ground.

The magazine increase is roughly equivalent to an upgrade in extended mag, while the reload speed buff is part of the standard stock.
So my idea for her passive would be:
  • Modded Loader: Increased magazine/heat capacity, faster reloads/recharge, higher accuracy and better handleing when using LMGs and the Minigun.
Concretely this would entail:
  • 15% bigger magazine size
  • 25% faster reload speed
  • 5% less recoil, 20 % less pitch randomness, 10% less yaw randomness (equal to a lvl 1 barrel stabilizer)
  • 15% less ADS time, 15% less deploy/holster time, 10% less raise/lower time, 15% less aim drift (equivalent to lvl 1 standard stock).
This has various HUGE upsides:
  1. The barrel and Stock have an impact as long as you have an LMG! It helps when switching to/from one. It makes them slightly more accurate (only an increase of 1 barrel stabalizer). It always feels impactful
  2. It keeps the feel of Rampart being the queen of LMGs
  3. Each of these values can be tweaked to make this passive balanced.
  4. All this actually does is give the LMGs a starting white barrel, magazine and stock (with a huge increase in reload speed as well). And thus is automatically balanced for white and blue attachments (with only the purple attachment exceding the current values).
The increase in accuracy and handeling would give me a serious incentive to use LMGs over other weapons, while not being so busted that it's always better.

  • This still only fixes half the problem though.

While this makes the passive worthwhile for LMGs, it still does nothing if you don't find one.

  • I still think that passives shouldn't work around luck, because they are never reliable.
