Rank Doesn't Feel Worth It

Did rank get better? Yes, but not completely. Issues I have with ranked are:

- Rewards are kinda lame

- Matchmaking is still giving me teammates of lower skills, while enemy teams are 2-3x better than all 3 of us combined. Its not making sense to have two rookie or bronze teammates while I'm silver or gold, and the enemy teams are all in the gold/plat rank. It is better than S17-19, but it could still use some more work.

- Rank entry level requirement is too low. This level requirement should be at least level 75 if not level 100.

- There's a bunch of cheaters, smurfs, and bots playing in ranked, mostly due to the low rank level requirement.

- Ranks are suppose to be fast tracked based on performance, but from what I can tell, you can be the best, and only go up one or two rank division, rather than going up a lot quicker in the ranks. This leaves a lot of players to grind through lower ranks when the game could of just place them higher. Keeping players in lower ranks only lets them stomp on lower ranked players, which isn't fun. I don't know about anyone else, but I feel the most fun when I feel like I'm evenly matched against enemy players, rather than being forced to get stomped on or being put into matches where if I breathe too hard, someone gets knocked down.

    Apex legend has the worst reward in ranked i've ever seen in video games.
    Like ranked isn't already a terrible experience thanks to aimbot assist/cheaters but the grind is really worthless with thoses rewards.

    @WTF_Huitzo Right now, matchmaking is a nightmare still, as I'm getting teammates who should stick to playing pubs, and the enemy teams have wall hacks 90% of the time, with them having aimbot 35-55% of the time.

    Its so obvious there's a bunch of wall hackers when a team that doesn't have a Bloodhound, Seer, etc. b-lines directly to you after you got away, broke complete line of sight, and went quiet, (aka crouching) 50+ meters away from where you escaped them from. Some wall hackers would play as Bloodhound or Seer to pretend like they had tracked you, but they usually give themselves away by tracking you 24/7 without using their abilities.

    Cheaters who I've reported yesterday, last week, last month, last few months, etc. are still playing as well. I just saw one who I had reported 2 days ago for blatant aimbotting still playing ranked.

    I only play ranked for one reason now, which is randoms don't easily disconnect on a knock or death because of the abandonment penalty. In pubs, you'll become a solo player in a heartbeat when a teammate goes down, and that's really annoying.

    True. Nothing to add. Especially wallhacking and pretending with seer or bloodhound to use the abilities.

    Diamond IV is where 0,4% of all players are, and I played 5 matches in diamond just to expirience hacking players, and matchmaking that can not handle the top tier ranks.

    Matchmaking:

    My random given team with current ranks: 1x Gold I, 1x Platin I (Duo Premade), and myself Diamond IV

    Killer team with current ranks: 1x Predator #577 (wallhacking and aimbotting), 1x Master Player, 1x Diamond I Player

    -> Current Ranks, not past given Ranks

    I got placed 5 times Place #20 in a row, time to stop playing ranked for me.

    @Midnight9746 In my opinion the biggest issue is the unstable skill level in rank. Some days it feels good you can grind other days it's like you have diamond lobbies in your gold games.
    Rank is the most important mode in this game and the one most keep coming for.

    Problem is all the high tier players are playing on their smurf accounts. All of them! From pro players to preds to masters to diamonds.
    I talked to a diamond player that was on his smurf in gold the other day... I asked him why doesnt he play on his diamond account instead he replied because it's too tough he get matched against preds and the best players.
    I then said why don't you play pubs he said it's boring.

    Well guess what idiot by playing in Gold you create that same problem you have in diamond for everyone of us in Gold. Except we don't get to know you are a smurfer and we can't prove it and respawn doesnt even care.

    This explains everything... this is why we can't enjoy our grind the whole thing is corrupted against the good players who deserve diamond but can't because they have to be masters to go to diamond by killing diamond smurfers.

    @Palette24caratsHow about we play against Main accounts only? I am like lvl 2900 let me play against lvl 2000 - 4000 only and that are Gold level. This way I won't encounter a single smurf, will have random teammates that know how to play and will have a very fair rank experience.
