Rank Is Horrible

Rank is just pubs, where there's no SBMM, and your teammates can have the skills of a bot, or they can be good. Its 99.9% bot teammates skill-wise, and I'm going against players who are clearly diamond and up players, with a lot of them being on low level accounts, (smurfing), or using obvious cheats, (snapping onto you perfectly, tracking you through walls even when you're quiet, anti-recoiling, abusing strikepacks, xim, etc.)

S19 is fun, but what's the point in having provision and promotional matches, if I'm going to be stuck in the same pool of players, having weak teammates going against way stronger players and/or cheaters? It clearly has nothing to do with skill because I'll see the same players next week, next month, etc. reguardless if I no-lifed or don't play the game. In all honesty, the "hidden MMR" is a huge L. It should be reworked or removed as it thinks two bots and a plat player are on the same skill level as a full prestack pred team. The fact that I saw pro players in my S17 and S18 ranked matches while in bronze to plat lobbies says how awful the hidden MMR is for the game.

  • @Midnight9746 They don't care, they think the illusion they themselves created fools every god damn player.... the matchmaking system is garbage now. The old system did work and was competetive, nowadays it is not competetive in the true sense of competetion..... I am not competeting against the entire population of players and getting a score out of it that I can compare towards the players base to see how good I am. All I get is a useless symbol with no relation to skill because the skill is now hidden in a calculated score they refuse to share.... before in the old system you competed, you try to get better and climb through the skills of different people with a natural skill distribution throughout the ranks and could accordingly to your rank determine how good you are. Now... well now it is just kindergarden with teacher holding your hand telling you how good you are at doing nothing rewarding at all...

My teammates play horribly when I was going up through bronze, in which I had to pretty much carry the team, then the moment I hit the promotional trials, I got back to back to back bots and players who hot drop or make the world's dumbest mistakes ever.

I'm so confused how this is considered a triple A game, let alone a game with any SBMM. Its a joke that stopped being funny a second after the joke was made. If the game really did have an SBMM, it wouldn't give you the same players as teammates and enemies reguardless of what rank you are or how good or bad you've gotten. When I do horrible, I get the same teammates/enemies as when I do really good and drop 8 or so kills, even when I win a match. If I'm worse or better than them, why are they still randoms I go up against or get paired with? Why not anyone else new?

I get the purpose of the promotional matches, however every single time I go to do one of those matches, I get shoved into a TTV bald Wraith full prestack pred level difficulty match were everyone is pretty much still alive like its the ALGs with millions on the line. This is suppose to be simple to get out of BRONZE, not the Olympics, and again, my teammates are both useless times infinity.

@Midnight9746 Just saw the promotional match criteria for getting out of bronze, it is a bad joke.... like come on this is not a serious decision made here, just an uninformed decision with no though process

@drevinum9 How it should of been is that you need to get a certain amount of kills or assists within the match limit or win a match to rank up.

Having the part where you need to hit top 5 in 3 different matches means players can rat 3 matches to top 5, then get their kills in those 3 matches or within the next few.

Sadly, I've failed the promotional trials 3 times now. The first time I got top 5 once with 7/6 kills/assists needed, second time I couldn't place top 5 but gotten 9 kills/assists, while the third time I got top 5 2 times and gotten 12 kills/assists. What's even sadder is that I won the matches before the second and third promotional period, which honestly if you win a match that puts you into the promotional trial, it shouldn't make you do the trial.

@Midnight9746 It is not even remotely balanced, they can't be serious that this promotion wall is expected skill levels out of silver divison and even less so for bronze.... it lack any sensable logic here. Since every match is tailored to be the same skill level as yourself each encounter should have 50% chance of winning, however if you are too good, they put you in even harder lobbies that should push you in even harder lobbies.
