Rank rework season 13 critic
Many good things with the brand new rank system coming for season 13: no kill cap good, team kp good, more points to grind in each tier good, higher master rp points at 15 k good, rank demotion ok. ...

@Palette24carats I feel like I'm not going to get anywhere with this ranking system. I'm not the best as is, and I also feel like this will be easier for the smurfs to stay at my skill level
- @XxColdFangxX Right, it will also mean there will be a higher ratio of smurfs in rank because there is nobody who will play solo q with those rules starting in silver. As soon as they dont have a full premade squad each and every one will either not play rank or play on their smurf. Pure logic.
Its like they make the rank ALGS style but we dont want to be that competitive we play apex for fun if we want to be competitive than pay us!!! Boring competitive rank playing for free and raging all the way down I mean we can lose 2000 points in a solo q night if it doesnt go well with randoms- @Palette24carats What rank were you this season before and after the split?
- @RaginSam I was plat 2 season 11, diamond 4 twice this season.
- @XxColdFangxX It’s been the other way around for me and my friends. We never start ranked early but this season we’re already in platinum. We’re getting matches with 300+ RP. This ranked system is the system this game needed from day one and the old system really overinflated the ranks. Most diamonds were actually terrible players and last season Masters were also really bad. Most of last season Masters were Platinum players before. It made no sense other than to give people a false sense of pride. The ranked system now is more in line with all other games where even Plat is seen as hard and prestigious, diamond very hard to reach and master/pred for people that can go pro. That’s how it should be.
- @HansBurgers Glad you and your friends are having a good time. I play with randoms, it's always been hard to get decent matches for me.
I know I'm no where near good enough to get to platinum, let alone gold, but with this 1rp for kills? It's going to be even harder for me to get anywhere let alone improve with all the smurfs sticking around the bronze rankings.
It might even out for you because you not only have a qualified team, but you are capable of getting away from all the smurfs?- @XxColdFangxX We also have 1 random on our team all the time because we’re a duo. If you’re not good enough to get to a rank, then you don’t belong in that rank. It’s really that simple. In the past getting to a rank wasn’t based on skill at all, just about time spent playing so players that weren’t good could actually make it to ranks they didn’t belong in only to get stuck and then griefing other people. You know how frustrating it is to be D1 and to have an entire D4 hard stuck team land on you and try to punch you out because you have a Master trail? It happened to me many times in the past seasons and often times I can 1vs3 them but I shouldn’t have to.
With this system people that drop hot or contest off drop with the 50/50 get punished HARD and they should. Making it to top 10 squads isn’t difficult even as a solo.
- @HansBurgers It's not that players were bad... it's that they solo queued. Players were good but not playing good teamplay with randoms. And this was supposed to help your premade squad.
