Ranked and Balance Feedback

To start of, I think Apex Legends is the best Shooter around. The problem for me is in the competitive integrity.

I could go into every Legend and give suggestion on how to improve the underperforming ones, some of them with only one line of code change. But Alliance Hakis already did that in a nice video and I can just pray you at EA had a look. If you guys only did 50% of what he said, we are steering in a direction in reg. of legend balance that could last you for a couple of seasons.

In my opinion the TTK change could be reverted, but I assume you also got enough feedback about that change nobody asked for. So I can only hope you listen to your players.

Now lets talk about Ranked and Ranked matchmaking:
In the current state, majority of players are not satisfied with the system or the matchmaking. 

  • Masters and Preds think its boring to farm plat and diamonds.
  • Becoming pred #1 is not about skill, just about who can put in the hardest grind. 
  • Everyone below (especially solos) think its frustrating to go against preds (who are always 3stacking).
  • Being qued solo together with 2 randoms, some of them sometimes even plat, against preds, puts you at such a disadvantage that its more about luck in the matchmaking then about skill on the battlefield. 

There are plenty of solutions already around, my favorite among them, also mentioned by Alliance Hakis or Mande (two of the biggest names in the game), is to make it like LoL is doing it:

Solo only from Master onwards. 

  • This would reduce the frustration to go against preds and masters for lower tiered players if the matchmaking is putting them together
  • and make nr. 1 more about skill then about who can put in 8-10 hours a day (in a 3tack) for the entire split. 

Last thing I would wish to be changed is how the game currently is handling a bad ping.
In the current system, if you ping is too high, the only player with a disadvantage, are the players around the player with the high ping. Your system is making it harder to hit ppl with a high ping but tries to make up for the bad ping for that person. Resulting in a advantage for everyone with a bad ping. 
You should either make it the other way around. Or implement some kind of ping lock. Only enable ppl to join regions/servers with a <120 ms. 
-If no servers are available for that person then, only show 1 server with the lowest ms. 

I hope someone at EA actually reads this feedback forum!?
