Ranked Arena discourages play leading to a player decline vicious circle

Ranked Arena, as it is now, is in an inevitable circle of decline. I say that as someone who has been grinding the mode and as such have a lot of experience with the updated ranked system for Arenas....

Q: What does Ranking mean?

A: the action of deciding where someone or something should be in a list that compares things of the same type

For example - the platinum ranked players fought, and the best of them ranked up to Diamond to fight in the harder lobbies.

In the arena games, players are not sorted into skill groups dependent upon their rank. They are thrown randomly against each other, with their ranks concealed, and then the winner gets the AP. If you are a gold player and you unfortunately lose against the Diamond squad you were thrown against, you are penalised despite the fact that according to your rank you were actually supposed to lose.

Arena games are not ranked right now. Please, sort players properly or remove the mode. Right now it is not engaging or rewarding.

Right now I am Plat 2 in arena's and getting 12 points per win because i have lost a lot. Going up against a Master 3 stack (who are obviously not Plat 2 right now) is in now way balanced as it's impossible to beat them (they won in 3 games).

Can anyone justify why the RANKED mode is set up to work this way? Any reasoning behind it at all???

Also Crossplay needs to be disabled in Arenas. It's not a fair representation of skill when one side has a software advantage that tracks players at close range. Controller players should not be given aim assist in the arena where there is no looting.

It's also broken and despite all the dev interaction we get on these boards (ahem) nothing gets done...Queuing into Ranked Arena as a duo it's impossible to win...and yet still no loss forgiveness...

Matchmaking in Ranked Arena's REALLY needs to be tighter...I'm playing with Gold and Silver duo's, then all of a sudden I'm up against a Master three stack? HOW IS THIS a fair system putting me against my peers? I'm playing at peak hours on EU servers.....PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME do something about the balancing.
