Ranked Arenas Demotion protection

Demotion has been around for Arenas longer than for BR. I think it would be beneficial for players reaching their max MMR if demotion protection gets added into the ranked game-mode. That way if someone is gaining 12 ap, and they get in a new rank, they won’t de-rank. But, instead giving a strong start to the +12 grind, without worrying about -30 games. I do not think this should be implemented below diamond. Because if people are gaining 100+ they won’t upwards to 300 risk free. (If it is 3 games of protection like BR)

    Ranked demotion shouldn't exist in general.
    Makes it far to easy for higher skilled players to get back into lower level rankings.

    @XxColdFangxX To many people in the past got to ranks where they don’t belong.
    But arena doesn’t need any derank protection

    Spoken like someone who doesn't spend a lot of time in ranked arenas if any.

    They need to rework the system entirely so people can't ride on the coat tails of their teammates and so higher skilled players can't farm lower lobbies.
    Part of the reason I don't do ranked anymore was the lack of protection from higher ranking players. There is no reason someone who has made platinum or above to be in less than gold lobbies. Ever. Doesn't matter if it's a new split or season.

    I dropped from dia back to plat a couple of times and I didn’t really care…

    Arena has way more serious problems then that…

    If you're talking about all the cheating that seems to come with the higher ranked players then that is an issue that isn't as easily fixed.

    And smurfs is an issue the devs refuse to fix.

    The biggest problems in arenas are the same issues that plague the rest of the game. 

    By fixing match making and keeping higher tiered players from wiping lower lobbies would take care of one of those issue.

    No demotion, a higher tier goal, and making points based off the player and not as a team. At least for arenas. An individual point system in br probably wouldn't work well.

    @XxColdFangxXCheating isn’t any worse Then in br it’s just easier to notice since you Fight the same person multiple times.

    But how about balancing ? Mosam needs to be completely removed, Maggie ult needs to cost 500 with 2 round cd.. all shotgunprices need to go up to equal normal weapons. Passives need to cost points to have and so on.knockdownshield price up massively etc
    The list is near endless…

    Legends like Maggie shouldn’t be so broken that it’s near impossible to lose when you play it with mosam

    The company just has no idea how to balance the game and honestly the game was always an extremely unbalanced mess… and arena shows it, br blurres the reality out quite well.
    But in arena there is not much that can blur the reality

    Different hitboxsizes for no reason aside from screwing over legends for example revenant…he will NEVER be good until they fix his hitbox. That is a serious indicator that they have no idea how to balance a shooter

    no matchmaking

    @XxColdFangxX I'm currently Master in both splits this season on Ranked Arenas. I've noticed when Solo Q there will always be say one diamond or above player matched with 2 gold or below players, rare games you'll be matched with players of your own skill level or above.

    Lower skill players tend to complain when matched with master plus but to be honest, I get so angry when matched with lower rank players as it costs us say -30 points if we lose at higher ranks which is mental. Even if we do 4 or 5k damage that round and get most kills.

    The plus side of going against higher ranks is if you win you get so much more points, sometimes like plus 70+ and only lose minus 12 on defeat. But yeah, whole ranked arenas needs looking into if they do keep it next season.
