I'm plat for a long time now but I have managed to reach diamond 4 three times but the thing is that the matchmaking is unbelievably unfair. Me and my squad are up against predators and masters in every match and we can't do nothing but lose points. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just skill-issue?
I totally agree that the matchmaking is unfair.
I believe they should increase the cost and risk of creating smurf accounts, and prioritize the quality of matchmaking even if it means longer queue times.
The problem is growing in general, but Respawn is introducing snowboarding to make you feel better.
Matchmaking in this game is such a joke. Such a good game, with not enough attention to how they can make the game better for people who don't play ONLY apex, or cave and use mods like all of the other players NOT getting punished for it. I'm mid gold, and play pretty infrequently. I'm currently playing ranked with a friend who is low Bronze, and probably has like 10 hours or less on the game, and another friend who is low gold. Every game the matchmaking shows us as the lowest ranked squad, by FAR, only getting matched with Plat players at the LOWEST.
What's worse, is that playing unranked isn't an option either! Those lobbies somehow seem MORE sweaty??

Either this player is aim botting, or is just John **bleep** Wick and for some reason in the same lobby as two low gold players and a bronze player.
The devs give ZERO **bleep** about making the game accessible to new or casual players. They only care about pumping out cosmetics for $$ and pretending to care about making an actually fun game.
So sad that the game has SO much potential-if only they put more resources into fair matchmaking and combatting the constant stream of aimbot-ers, 0 recoil scripts, etc, that make the game un-playable.
I would struggle to get out of the bed in the morning if I was on the matchmaking team at respawn. I HOPE that someone involved in matchmaking sees this post and has an epiphany that they're terrible at their job and should step aside for someone actually passionate about making a good game. What a joke.
Personally I dont agree, they’ve worked matchmaking many times in the past. Although I do get Preds in my lobby when i’m about to be Diamond 3, its not super often, however. Maybe they need to start restricting the RP again like they used to with people in your lobby. Sounds like a few preds that use their diamond friends to move up.
