Re: Add an option for deaf players to "visualize sounds" - accessibility

@kilan225 What do you mean negativity? This is a open and honest discussion. There is no negativity here. Just because it doesn't comfort to your opinion does not mean it is negativity.

A solution he gave was to mute the sound when using those 'deaf mode' since deaf players can't hear it anyways is a nice touch. Unfortunately, this feature will get exploited via glitches/bugs or cheats, guaranteed, so that those that not deaf will be able to use both regular mode and 'deaf mode'.
It's a real concern to be honest.

@Schaapje1987 Well, those glitches/bugs/cheats will be exploits, and I hope that Respawn will treat them accordingly if that happens.
  • @Jekth_Avid Like how they ban cheaters? They can't even stop people from using blatant ESP/Aimbot, let alone macroscripts. So an in-game feature would nearly be impossible.
  • @Schaapje1987I don’t see how it is negative, deaf or not the audio in this game is so bad most of the time you can’t hear enemy footsteps over your teammate’s footsteps anyways

Just add visual effects like fortnite did where it will show footstep logo if an enemy is close, it could show a jump pad or jetpack logo if someone is in the air, logos for abilities, a trident logo, etc I don’t remember how Fortnite’s worked exactly but I think it also shows you the direction a player is

it is a setting, so you don’t have to worry about player’s having advantages over other player’s when the option is available for everyone to turn on/off in their settings so basically its their choice but personally I think everyone should turn it on or it should be on by default so newer players know about it
