Re: Aim Assist needs to be disabled on PC

@pastaclown

Your defensive replies makes me come to three different possible conclusions:

1. You got hit by the reality hammer realizing that your aim is not natural (no that good boy), as you though there was no aim assist.

2. You try to discredit a perfectly legit post as you are one of those MOUSE&AA exploiters getting exposed.

3. You are just dumb.

    What's all the arguing about?

OP provided a link that clearly demonstrates that:

    a) Aim assist exists on PC, when the game thinks you're using a controller.

    b) You can trick the game into thinking you have a controller, when you're actually playing with K&M.

    c) Aim assist both provides soft target tracking, and drastically reduces recoil.

The video even describes precisely what you need to do to reproduce it.

@TheJumpingJawa So you have to trick the game into thinking you're playing on an entirely different platform where aim assist is by default on. At that point you're using the console version pretty much, not the PC version. So once again, there's no innate aim assist for PC, unless you go through a series of hoops in order to trick the game into thinking you're on an entirely different platform enabling aim assist which is standard for that platform.

I'll put it simply. If you have two sandwiches both of which are almost exactly the same, except one has tomato and one doesn't. You take a bite of the tomato-less sandwich, then of the one with tomato. Then, you put a slice of tomato into the tomato-less sandwich. Did you eat two separate sandwiches, or did you have a 2 bites of two sandwiches that were exactly the same?

@radkal_0 You've got a great monologue going bud. You a published author? You should be.

That's not at all what either I said, nor what the OP's linked video said.

Getting aim assist on PC is as simple as:

    1) Plug a controller into your PC.

    2) In-game, set controller sensitivity to 6 or 7.

That hardly constitutes 'tricking the game into thinking you're on an entirely different platform"; Apex on PC has always supported both M&K, and controllers.

The issue is certainly made worse by the XIM spoofer exploit, allowing the use of K&M while still having aim assist active.

However, giving aim assist to PC players when using a controller is highly questionable to begin with.

There's enough cheating in Apex already; we don't need built-in cheats to muddy the water still further.

@pastaclown You really have issues with understanding things.
Thanks to your last reply my conclusion got strongly (but not fully) narrowed to 1of the 3 causes. It does not mean that one of the two others is not valid:

    Number 3, You are dumb.

    😉
