This was back in season 5, where I had a player solo push a fight, and then die in rank. But they didn't wanna get a rank penalty, so they just told both me and other teammate to jump off the map, and that we were trash teammates anyways. I found that to be funny, because they were a Wraith wanting to disconnect after dying, with me and the other guy actually having damage and kills.
Therefore people would get overly toxic at any reason keeping them in the game - no matter how long they'll have to wait to leave a match.
Also for the same reason mentioned above, you'll just get solos who run far out of range to where they can just leave after dying. While some players might camp near teammate's boxes to annoy them by keeping them locked in the match until the game lets them leave.
