solo ranked experience has never been worse/SBMM killed this game for me.

i really thought they had it with the D1 and up in masters lobbies last season. could finally comfortably play solo ranked to where it was still a challenge but surmountable. high ranked 3 stacks say they don’t mind waiting in longer que’s but respawn still prioritizes predators getting into games fast over quality balanced lobbies and im just sick of it. i dont have people to run diamond lobbies with and am consistently going up against top 100 3 stacks in my diamond 4 lobbies when i have platinum teammates picking their **bleep** and ratting. it is not possible to climb ranks or enjoy myself when they “reset” my rank to **bleep** platinum 2 and then feed me to a meat grinder all season. “well why don’t you go play pubs or wildcard?” i thought you’d never ask!!

my second point is that skill based matchmaking has eliminated to point/need for public matchmaking. i cannot go play with my lower level friends especially in PC lobbies. my account is max level/2+ KD/Diamond, very slightly above average. if i try to go play anything but solo, it is the same thing as playing ranked (especially in pc lobbies). sweaty kill grinders and pred/master 3 stacks. you either play at the highest level when in a party or you may as well just not play because my accounts statistics are decent. this applies to everything except gun run/tdm/control. those are the most fun because they are truly the only casual thing about this game anymore.

apex is still alive solely because of its base mechanics and how addictive they are. the decline and fall off over the years has been death by a thousand paper cuts and i dont see that changing while EA and the developers of the game sit idly by while almost everyone ive ever known to play the game moves on to other things because its not worth the stress to even boot up apex anymore. i would like to say **bleep** you to so many people involved with the state the game is in. i know it’s not the many devs who are at fault, but the few that are out of touch and have the power to make important QOL decisions. **bleep** you. 

this game should be massive and the fumbling of the bag is massive and ongoing. ALGS is the only thing besides the most casual of fans of the game keeping it alive. i’ll be deleting the game after 6 years and moving on to things that bring me joy. i recommend expedition 33, hollow knight, battlefield 6 and the finals to anyone who feels the same and struggles to find happiness in their gaming time on apex like they used to.
