Re: Body/knockdown/box colors

So you want less and less important information that can help you win?

Knowing shield colors is important for picking fights or not, knowing how much health your opponent has is pretty vital to downing enemies. Knowing what kind of shields the enemy has, and how much damage you've done to them, is the difference between pushing an enemy to knock them completely, and retreating to heal. Knockdown shields being shown helps good players prioritize what could be a potential threat later on, vs. what can be safely ignored to focus on healing or knocking another enemy. Gold shields aren't always a waste, I've seen people fully revive themselves and get the win for their team. It's a situational item, and in the right situation can grab you the win.

Imagine this, you've killed 3 squads in succession at the edge of the ring of a level 3 ring. Your teammates are dead, and the ring has just started closing. You grab their banners and need to quickly loot because you're out of supplies. You have 9 boxes with no distinct features to loot through, and no possible way of knowing what has what. Colors are important to grab the items that will best guarantee your success, and to keep moving. Forcing people to check every single box is slow, inefficient, and a great recipe for getting people killed.

The concept of "features that dumb things down for people" is nothing more than wanting to create artificial difficulty to alienate more casual players, and last time I checked, this game was pretty casual.
