Try disabling Windows Game Bar. I couldn't click invites but after reading this thread, and disabling the Game Bar, I was able to accept invites again by pressing 'Y' and by clicking them. I hope this also fixes it for you. 🙂

i want to play with somebody, but still cant join the group after accepting the invitiantion!
Same thing is happening to me :/ Makes playing a lot less enjoyable when a good teammate invites me. Please EA or Respawn
Hey just want to update what i did to fix the issue!
So i literally got rid of every overlay i had and it works now! I want to say it was the xbox game bar specifically though
