Actually a quick search found an answer for me. I found out that on the PS4 you go to SETTINGS - ACCESSIBILITY - BUTTON ASSIGNMENTS - CUSTOMIZE BUTTON ASSIGNMENTS. And there you can swap your L1/R! - L2/R2 buttons. Now the game is a bit easier.
