Re: Feedback from a below average player

@Kuro466  Payed-for loot boxes is gambling. On the other hand, you can't even buy skins directly unless they are featured, thing is they are worth 1100 AC which is about 14.3$ CAD for a single skin. Some skins are 1800 AC so 23.38$ CAD essentially forcing you to get the 25.99$ CAD pack for 2150 AC. Prices are ridiculous.
Final nail in the coffin, the skins on the right of the "featured" page cannot even be bought with Legends Tokens until you bought the skins on their left with AC first.

Correct way to implement MTX would be:
1)Reward players with free loot crates more often without forcing a finite number (currently capped at 45 or so).

2)All skins should be available to be purchased with AC

3)Featured page should have (A)Skins on sale and ( B) some skins available to be bought using Legen Tokens (so Legend Tokens isn't almost completely useless once you bought all legends).

    They are not Gambling.
Gambling assumes you have a chance of losing all your money.
That's like saying that collectible card pack are gambling. You're taking a chance on the rarity and (subjective) value on what's inside. If you don't like what you got you have the 'choice' to buy another.
The countries that are 'trying' to regulate this will soon learn the difference.  This isn't something that will stick.

@LoganX1  That's the lame excuse EA is giving for lootboxes but there is a CLEAR pattern between loot boxes and gambling effects on the brain. There's a reason more and more countries ban them. Unless you believe the goverment of those countries have a secret agenda and personnal vendetta gainst mean loot boxes for some reason *puts tin foil hat on*.

PS, it will stick. They are seeing tangible scientific proof of the effects, it's not just some hypothesis.

Nope.  All of these things focus around 'kids'.  Yet don't put the blame on the parents for not overseeing what they're kids are buying WITH THEIR MONEY.

The only issue is when MTX becomes Pay 2 Win.  Cosmetic loot boxes have little to no in-game value.  Just because it's RNG doesn't make it gambling.

Again, gambling implies 'Money for Money' and the chance to actually lose money.  It can't be considered a loss if it's a purchased transaction.

Even if what you get is low or no in-game value (which is subjective) you never actually lose more than you put in.

  • Victory lootbox is bad idea for devs as some players would never ever have to buy lootboxes, meaning no profit from them in already f2p game. If it would be b2p yeah why not or at least every level.

@LoganX1  No, those effects also happen on adults as well (ever heard of "whales"?). With which scientifical proof can you say that the "gambling" effects only happen on children? Do you seriously believe adults can not suffer from being addicted to it? How naive can you be? You can't just dismiss scientifical data like that (proof that lootboxes have the same effect on the brain), you sound exactly like an anti-vaxxer lol

There's a reason the legislation regarding lootboxes is becoming more and more severe in more and more countries.

Notice it's the countries that have always had civil right issues.
You're not seeing that in the US, UK, or countries where civil rights and the right of choice aren't an issue.

    Nice deflect.
I say loot boxes are bad because they have similar effects on the brain as gambling and you change the subject to something else trying to make me forget you can't counter that argument.
Only shills want loot boxes. Paying directly to unlock a skin without having to ABSOLUTELY get it by chance from a loot box would be fine (after all, they need to make money, true) but forced to go through loot boxes as the only possible way is not ok.

More assumptions because your argument is weak.
Also people who insult someone because they don't like what they say are just internet kid trolls.

I never said I 'want' loot boxes. Quote me where I said that. It's your weak argument that makes you have to lie to make a point.
I'm simply stating that it's not gambling and the countries that think it is will find out soon how wrong they were to make the choice for their people instead of letting them choose.

There's nothing in the loot boxes that you can't earn in game.
It's not gambling. Grow up and stop being a whiney millennial or gen z. (Just a guess but it makes sense)

No more replies to you because you can't carry on a debate without insulting or lying.

    @LoganX1
Shill : an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others.

    You feel insulted by that?

Again, you can't counter argue science and just deflect and now go full on insult mode.
Come back with OBJECTIVE SCIENTIFICAL counter arguments.
Also, quite funny you call me immature/whiny/youngster or wtv you are trying to imply with my assumed generation yet I'm the only one between us two that brought scientifical tangible proof of my arguments where as you always just talked with your opinion with no facts.
