@chiefthunderball So you just want the R99 as the only viable smg. They both have a very similar ttk.

- @xx_Dante2k_xx The prowler out shoots the 99 right now by a good amount. I would rather have them be almost equal in damage. That's part of balancing. The 99 is at a decent place right now but the prowler is a melt machine with no forgiveness haha
- @xx_Dante2k_xx all it needs is -1 on body and headshot damage and the same mag size as the 99. That will balance the fire rate of the 99 vs the dps of the prowler much better. Right now the prolwer does 3 points more dps on head and body vs the 99 and had more bullets per mag.
@chiefthunderballI would say you are right only if it has higher level mag. The DPS is still a lot lower than R99. R99 alows you to drop someone quickly, almost instantly.
I use the Prowler a lot (with or without select fire, preferably with) but there have been many times I can't drop them because they get away from me. I do boat loads of damage but they run away and someone else starts shooting at me and I have to retreat. But compared to R99, I think R99 trumps it easilyEDIT: This is why I think the mag size is larger on the prowler, you don't get to empty it that quickly like the R99. Also "DPS" is damage per second - the R99 does more "damage per second" than the prowler. If I were to favor a nerf, just nerf its rate of fire for when auto mode is selected, not the burst rate of fire.
- @SolitaryMassacre I meant damage not dps lol the bullet Velocity is a little slower on the prowler which is why the 99 has higher dps. The prowler could stand to lost a point of damage across the board but keep the size of its mag as compensation and a slightly lower fire rate on full auto. not much though just a minor tweaks
@chiefthunderballThe Prowler and R-99 are about equal. Sure, the Prowler does more damage and has a bigger mag, but the r-99 has a higher fire rate.
As it is, unless you want both to be nerfed, they are very good weapons. Prowler with burst actually has higher dps.

Yeah I think the Prowler is good where it stands. As I stated before, I use the prowler a lot. One thing I do have trouble with is dropping my opponent quickly. Where the R99, you make all your shots count and they drop almost instantly. Prowler is good but you can't do that as easily due to slower ROF. I have many times needed to go chase someone with the prowler but don't with the R99
