Re: How long do I really have to wait AFTER my banner timer is 0 to leave??

@Balladalidila You might want to rethink what a saboteur actually is.

If I was with a high end team engaged with another high end time, I wouldn't let myself be their third kill, I know my limits. I would turn and run to respawn the other two.

If I just jumped into the fight knowing I would die and give up any chance of respawning them, that would be sabotage.

That we are in an agreement. Read the last paragrah in my last post. There are MANY situations where any player should back off a fight and run towards a replicator if possible.  But yes, I do consider it sabotage if you sit back behind in cover without doing any dmg at all, nor drawing any fire for a "longer" fight, just because you think your only role in the team is to survive and run and "maybe" replicate banners and then "maybe" be able to respawn your teammates. No one said anything about "jumping into a fight, knowing I should die". Dont put words in my mouth please.

What I am calling "sabotage" is if you fight a 3v3 in a "extended" fight, like a time span where everyone manage to pop up several bats and crack each other multiple time. Lets say your team knocks two of the enemies but the third enemy knocks and executes two of you. Now imagine you get to specator mode and you realize that your third just sat on a roof top and just "scouted" the entire fight with 0 to 100 dmg dealt, ready to run off to a replicator unless his two teammates managed to 2v3 and win... Thats sabotage IMO. Respawns are a valubale and awsome second chance but you cant base your strategy as a player of not doing anything expect respawning. THat might work in low elo and pubs but not in higher ELOS when the skill level in terms of fighting skills becomes more even across the lobby and when more squads surivve longer. Its very unlikely you wont get 3-4 team third partied if you try a respawn in the first rounds. Its the same with Lifeline players who do literally nothing because they think they are the "healer" in a Moba. Ofc, its just stupid if the Lifeline is leading a push but it all comes down to inactivity. You cant play a 3v3 shooter and think that you pressing your abilitiy is enough to make your part of  the team.

But anyhow; this topic of discussion has got a little bit too focused on the respawn thing. My OP was about the additional "hidden" leaver timer you have after your banner timer runs out, only because you have a support in your team.

TL:DR: The banner timer is fine; no need for the additional "support" timer.

There is for me. I despise it when people quit because they think I won't bring them back.
    Traitors! Saboteurs!
    Ban them all!
My primary capability is bringing people back.
Sure I can attempt a few shots, normally taking 5 times as mush damage as I can deal in the process, having to pop phoenix after phoenix after phoenix, when I cause them to only do cell by cell by cell, unless I'm using a sniper.

How can someone deal 190 damage with a car from 350 meters away when I can only deal 70 with a Sentinel? Or zero with a Car. 15 if I'm lucky with a singular hit.
Peak, pop, eat a bunch of bullets in the process. It's like everyone's bullets missile towards me.
I wish Rampart was a support, then I could do better combat while being able to banner craft. Easy enough to do revives with her barrier, if you can get close enough.
Sometimes I wish I could place a curved variant, or half-dome/quarter-dome thing.

Yes I agree. If you mess up, dies and you have a support in the team who can bring you back, you should absolutly stick around and hope for a respawn. In ranked, I always wait until my squad is eliminated, regardless if I think my teammates are bad and biased premades or if I love to play with them. The only reason why people leaves early in ranked is because they play on a rank that isnt their peak rank, i.e they are smurfing. Only smurfing players in ranked leaves early becasue a real tryhard who plays at his peak rank want whatever RP he can get.

BUT can you at least sympethize that it can be extremtly frustrating if you have  teammate who literally does nothing in fights and just starts run towards a replicator even before a fight is half-lost yet? Try to put yourself in your random teammates shoes. Its not fun to sit and spectate a random crypto player with 0 dmg dealt, who just started to run away from the fight as soon as it broke out.  I mean, I main Pathfinder right now. I could EASILY escape any fights my teammates got into, regarless if its was me, them or the enemies who started it. But I dont do that. That would make me a terrible teammate and people would hate me for it and if I respawn them, they would loathe me to the point that they might want to get me killed rather than seeing the team succeed. I will however escape with my grapple and go for the replicator if the fight is lost, but not before that.
