Overwatch's character models are hardly a a resource hog in a technical standpoint.
- That’s because they’re all smoothed over with cartoon type textures.
Also, like I said previously - the MAP on a BR game has more items and textures, which cause more of a drain on resources.
Something has to give.
Overwatches MAPS are smaller, therefore there can be more clutter and higher resolutions.
Pretty simple concept.
