Also, as soon as I mentioned that I wanted to speak with a superior the person somehow quickly managed to fix the issue. Clear giveaway that they weren't properly viewing everything I was writing/adding in my ticket.

A Dialogue Box on your account page seems pretty normal after seeing the notes etc, +
