Re: No Regs On Downed Players

There are two situations I also experience this. The first is because you are invincible during the knock/fall to the ground animation, which actually makes sense. If you was able do damage towards an execute on someone during the knockdown-animation, you could easily execute people before they even got a chance to get their knockdown shield up. That would most likely just be frustration for everyone.  People would become a lootbox before they could react.

But maybe you are referring to the situation that happens when you and teammate or enemy from a third team shoots at the same enemy and someone else but you get the knock,  which makes it look like you land multiple no-reg hits just before the enemy get knocked? The only reason I can think of is that there is a de-sync between whats going on on your client, your teammate and the enemies client.  

Lets say you and your teammate shoots at an enemy and your teammate gets the knock, i.e HIS client registered that his bullet was the one that took the enemy to 0 HP. But before YOUR client can recognize this and respond accordingly, that information must ofc travel from your teammates client, to the server and then to your client, right? I dont know how Respawn coded this game but who knows, maybe that information also must travel to the enemy's client for confirmation and back again etc etc  Now add crappy servers, low tick rate, and high ping players to this.

So I guess there just is a time interval where the enemy actually IS knocked but your client just hasnt got that info yet.

    @Balladalidila For both of mine from what I've seen its pretty much my teammate will knock someone I instantly go to thirst them when they are on ground. Every bullet it shoot into them is a no reg till around 5 seconds or so after drop.

    This for me is absolutely game changing issue as when ammo or shield swap is needed and cant be done it can and will cost your life.

    I doubt it really is 5 seconds though? More like 0.5-1 sec if we are being honest? But please prove me wrong with a video because that would be proof of a game breaking bug.

    But anyways, I know what you mean. It can be frustrating but once again; I think its a necessary thing. If you was able to do damage towards the execute in the middle of the enemie's knockdown-animation, people would become a loot box before they could even got to the knockdown state, especially if multiple enemies are shooting at them. I have to remind myself to play it cool when someone is knocked, and wait until I can see he clearly is on the ground in the knocked state before starting to shoot him again.

    You are getting people who are abusing the bug against you.

    I didn't read everything as I'm sleepy. 

    I'll say this. If someone is spamming their knockdown shield against you by flashing it fast. They abusing no regs so you don't thirst them fast enough. This is something that even Pro players hate to see others doing because they too know about this and it is a bug/exploit that shouldn't be in the game.

    I reported it and to get the devs to fix it many times. Nothing has been done about it.

    @Balladalidila I'll put it this way. As i mentioned i unload a full mag into them. So full mag fire time plus another reload is roughly few seconds up to 5 seconds depending on gun.

    This is me only with concerns of downed no regs. This is not even counting the kraber no reg i had the 99 no regs the flatline no regs on players standing.

    @E9ine_AC Same here. At the beginning of season 7 first hits dident count. Only 2-3e hits started to do damage.

    And i too noticed after shooting a player down there is a delay before you can end them.

    For me its 1-3 seconds before damage starts counting on either the k.o shield or player.

    Its weird that sometimes player can be damaged as soon as they are downed and some cant be hit after atleast a sec or 2 maybe 3.

    Maybe a part of the overall connection issues?
    Yesterday's patch did clean the game up for me.... plays alot smoother for some reason.

    Sure,  the window of time when an enemy is invincible during the knockdown animation is long enough to empty a full mag, especially with a R99 etc, and I get that it can be frustrating, especially when you are in a hurry to shield swap/loot ammo whatever.

    But the real quesiton is; do you think the game would be better if you could be executed before you even hit the ground after getting knocked?  Because this "protection" ofc also applies to you when you get knocked. Me personally would probably find it super frustrating to become a lootbox the milisecond you hit the ground after getting knocked, but thats just me. I guess I take the good with the bad .

    @Balladalidila Well these are people who was knocked and had time to fully pull up shield and I shoot them in the back with no damage being done. I then have to reload to retry it again. This was not me trying to thirst someone in air or anything these was people on their knees with a shield up and I still no reg them. Im not the only one who notices it and see it. Streamers have it happen I have it happen other players have it happen. It is purely pointed to just being no regs due to something they have changed or did not account for and its blocking the damage. It should not be blocking the damage at all.

    If I'm knocked then I meant to go down. I get thirsted no matter what either way. So it wouldn't matter if I thought it would be better or not because its been happening since season 0. Its a very common practice from the higher end players to ensure no come back is possible. Thats why I'm thirsted they think the same way. I even reported this 2 seasons go on knocked players not taking any damage from first mag of shooting. This is nothing new to me I see it often which is now the second time I'm reporting it again.

    Oki. If you say so. I personally have never experienced a situation when someone had his knockdown shield fully up but still was invincible from other angles.

    I think you should record it and post it here if it happens to you that often. Video proof is the only way we, the community, can have our complains distinguished from the endless stream of mindless crybaby complains with no proofs  and actually get the devs attention and start put pressure for them to actually do something about it.

    I think the best option would be to produce any clips of the attempted thirst. I've had my share of noreg hits but they were always within the safety period, and if we have ones that are more questionable we can flag them for investigation.

    If you can leave the game performance stats up that may help too, if there's a 500ms spike or big packet drop, that could be a factor whenever there's weirdness.

    @EA_David I wish i could actually stream. Apex is only game that caps my gpu at 100% using every 3d it can produce. No other games does this for me. I have tried every setting there is from nvida control panel to apex settings to window settings. Nothing changes it. I can say majority of the ones I do get are near the circle portal turbines. A lot times near the circle buildings.

    Normally I'm 120 fps and 50 ms ish

    Nvidias instant replay isnt GPU heavy. I get almost the same FPS when Im recording. This was also the case when I played on my old GPU (1060 6gb).

    @Balladalidila Yes but apex even inside the lobby literally uses 100% of my gpu. If I try to record which I have tried many times I stutter so hard its bad to play. Either something with the 1650 super is weird or something with apex is weird. I do see even people with 2080 with same problems and unable to record/stream.
