Re: Nothing was fixed in APEX
@redsunschan Well...
Audio - Kinda requires the game to run on a new game engine, and this takes a lot of time and work.
Cheaters - They're working on it. While there's still a lot of cheaters, I have seen some improvements.
Servers - As far as I'm aware of, the servers run on 20hz, (or 20 ticks), and those would need to be upgraded before we see any improvements in connection. Also as far as I'm aware of, the servers are under a contract, (with who? I don't know), EA/Respawn can't just switch the servers out right now.
Character & Weapon Balance - In a game like Apex, (even games like Fortnite), the meta is always changing. As the seasons go by, each thing has to get buffs and nerfs. There's a lot of different legends and weapons in the game, so the balancing can be tricky. It may seem easy to us on what should be buffed and what should be nerfed, but we're not seeing things from a general perspective, only from our own. That's not to say that nothing needs to change, more so that the devs have a lot to look into.
Controller - They did change the aim assist for players on console playing in the PC lobbies and for players on PCs who are using a controller. It doesn't affect those who are on a console in a console lobby. Part of the problem as well is that some players are using things such as strikepacks, chronus zen, and XIM, which makes the aim assist seem more broken than it really is. True console players have a hard time playing in PC lobbies and those in console lobbies, its quite clear who's better on a controller VS someone using hardware to cheat the aim assist.
